Recent modern mountain renovations and furnishings mix with vintage historic finishes from the 1890's and other renovations to create a playful mix of modern and rustic mountain style. The structure and systems have all been updated and the house is fully equipped with modern conveniences, just relax and enjoy the mountains.
FISHING YEAR ROUND
Here you will find some of the best fishing water that the Truckee River has to offer, and the river is literally right in the back of the house! Access the river at any public bridge (Hirschdale bridge is 100 yards from the house), from access points along the Tahoe Pyramid Trail which parallels the river from Lake Tahoe all the way to Pyramid Lake in Reno, or at the California Conservancy lands and other public access points (access maps available at fishing shops & online). Water access at the bridge is a five minute walk from the house - the bridge can be seen from the house. From the bridge, a short and steep dirt trail must be navigated to reach the river. There are other access points nearby with easier access. The Truckee River can be fished year round! There are also several other great fisheries nearby. BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION: The County has begun construction to replace two bridges in the Hirschdale neighborhood. They say construction times are restricted to daytime work hours and that noise, pollution, and traffic measures will be in place. The replacement may take up tp two years, summer 2025 to 2027. These bridges are a few hundred yards from the house and can be seen from the house. Construction may impact guests staying at this house from time to time. Pedestrian access across the bridges and river access will be provided during construction. Guests do not need to cross these bridges to access the house or other local attractions. The road beyond the bridge only provides access to the rock quarry and a few residences, it ends after about a mile and there is no parking down there, so you aren't going to miss out on anything!
NOTE: no refunds for impacts caused by construction by others.

Summary: House is so spacious and beautiful. Riaz is very prompt with his responses and accommodating to the changes with my reservation. Check in, check out and house rules are very clear and given in a timely manner. There are plenty of amenities in the home.It took us a bit to find a safe way down to the river but once we did, it was beautiful and fun for the little ones. About a 30 min driving distance to Lake Tahoe and/or Reno. Would definitely stay again!Thank you Riaz.
