2 Bedroom House in Chelsea
Our home away from home. Custom built with the labour and love of our family. A special piece of land at the end of a small private road in Chelsea that is very close to the village but set aside in nature. Beautiful big windows provide a view of the trees and sunshine to enjoy and relax to.
Our bungalow was built 3 years ago on 3 acres of wooded slopes towards the Gatineau River. It has smart home capabilities, radiant heated floors, induction cooktop and a finished basement.
There is a large parking area and lots of green space. You will have use of a BBQ and propane Fitbit in the warmer months.
The driveway is steep and has curves which can make winter a challenge for some vehicles. We advise that you have an all wheel drive and snow tires. But we also have a parking space at the top by the garbage bins that is used by those who don’t.
We are located only 4kms from spa Nordik and Chelsea village where there is lots to be enjoyed. Restaurants, shops, coffee and ice cream! The beautiful Gatineau Park is at your fingertips to enjoy the fresh air and nature. Known for the closed roads to cycle on, mountain biking, cross country skiing and Camp Fortune ski hill. Hot days can be enjoyed at Meech Lake or hiking under the trees.
Wakefield village is 15 min by car for those who choose to take in the activities on the Gatineau River….paddle boarding, swimming or just a nice stroll along the water and a stop at the bakery.
The downtown of Ottawa is 15 min over the river. Along the way is Casino D’Hull. The nations capital has much to offer including many festivals in summer and even winter and the Rideau Canal Skateway.
We ask that guests respect our wishes to be notified of additional guests that may be visiting as well as completing a checkout checklist of duties before departing ( strip beds, garbage disposal, tidy and perhaps a load started in the machine).
