Our villa with its stunning views of Lake Viñuela and the surrounding mountain ranges is located in the beautiful region of Axarquía and only 45 minutes from Málaga airport. This impressive property, which is fully air conditioned, has 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms all with en suite and fitted wardrobes, superb living accommodation which includes a fully fitted kitchen, large living room and a spectacular semi-circular shaped sun room with dining and sitting areas overlooking the lake.
The villa offers you various terraces; the large main one has a sitting area for 8 ideal for an evening drink and also there is an eating area with a large dining table and 8 chairs for al fresco dining with a metal gazebo with retractable sun blinds, a small terrace has a quiet sitting area with 2 chairs perfect for a drink for two amongst the fruit trees . You will love our large private pool (10 x 5 m) and its surrounding area; where you can enjoy the pool, the sun and relaxing with a cold drink, not necessarily in that order and a shady eating area.
The Villa
The main part of the villa consists of a large, fully equipped kitchen which has been finished to a very high standard with handcrafted wooden units and granite worktops and splash-backs. There is a gas hob, electric ovens, fridge, plus the usual appliances and a dishwasher. The utility room has a microwave, washing machine, large fridge and a separate large freezer.
For your comfort, there is an attractive large family lounge with a vaulted beamed ceiling and cozy two and three seater sofas and coffee tables, satellite Flat screen TV, an integrated fireplace, air conditioning and double sliding doors to the sun room. It is the ideal place for you to relax in the evenings during the colder months.
The stunning semi-circular shaped sun room has sitting and dining areas with sliding floor to ceiling windows which looks out to the truly stunning views of the pool, lake and mountains. The dining area consists of a large dining table and 8 chairs, whilst the sitting area has very comfortable leather two and three seater sofas. It is the perfect place for you to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sun going down and setting on the mountain ranges on the chilly evenings.
Bedroom 1: 1 king bed and en-suite bathroom with a bath with a shower over and wc; large fitted wardrobe, dressing table with a vanity mirror, air conditioning, ceiling fan and sliding doors to the sun room.

The Outside
On the terrace outside the kitchen, there is a large dining table with 8 armchairs under a metal gazebo with retractable sun blinds, give essential shade when required. There is also a sitting area with new comfortable wicker L-shaped settee, armchair and a pouffe.The barbecue, conveniently near to dining area, is the ideal place to cook outside. You can enjoy your al fresco meal made from abundant local produce, with the magnificent views as your back-drop.
The large secluded and private pool (10 x 5 m) is so inviting that you will be unable to resist the refreshing water. You will enjoy the pool for a swim or just splashing around. Its surrounding area has non slip tiles, 8 pool loungers, a large table for eating with plenty of seating room for 8 people and an outside solar shower.
The roof terrace allows for secluded sun bathing, as well as giving you panoramic views of the whole surrounding area, including Los Romanes and other small whitewashed mountain villages on the opposite side of the lake, Lake Viñuela dam to the far end and Mount Maroma. It is also a great place to view the stars at night with hardly any background light.
There is a mature garden around the property with orange, grapefruit, peach and lemon trees behind the villa. The palm trees in a small secluded area by the pool giving it an oasis feel which can be light at night. There are various plants and trees at the front of the house.
We provide good quality pool and bath towels plus linen which are free of charge. All bedrooms have a hairdryer. There is free Wi-Fi throughout, even around the pool.
A car is essential and there is enough parking area for three cars.

Los Romanes and the Axarquía region
Los Romanes is a 15 minute walk or 5 minutes by car and has very good restaurants which have an excellent reputation with the locals and holiday makers, two small super markets, local bakery and butchers, village bars and an olive mill. One of the best restaurants in the area is called El Charco, commonly known as Miguel's. There are other excellent restaurants on the lake shore 5 minutes by car where the views are spectacular, as well as an Indian restaurant with an outside eating area, again with equally amazing views on the way down to the lake. There are more restaurants and shops about a 5 minute drive in the village of Puente don Manuel. The local goat herder often 'walks' his goats down the hillside and it is always a fantastic sight, the age old traditions are still alive and well.
Lake Viñuela offers non-motorised water sports, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and fishing. There are many splendid walks around the lake and in spring the wild flowers are bountiful. The Axarquía region is excellent for hiking, mountain biking and horse trekking. There is a water park 15 minutes away at Torre Del Mar and there are other water parks and theme parks near Málaga.
There are some typically Spanish bars and restaurants in the small whitewashed mountain villages such as Comares, Periana and Alcaucin nearby to explore. A short 20 minute drive takes you to the coast, a major shopping centre, Velez-Malaga the attractive capital of the region, and the bustling Spanish seaside resort of Torre del Mar with its famous fish restaurants and wonderful beach “chiringuitos” offering the local delicacy the “espeto” (sardines on a skewer) for just 5 euros!
