Traditional guesthouse in Myrtia village | House in Heraklion

1 Bedroom House in Myrtia, Heraklion
In the picturesquare village of Myrtia, only a few metres from the house-museum of the famous greek author Nikos Kazantzakis, we meet a smart constructed but still traditional 3-persons apartment. The village locates only 15 kilometres from the city of Heraklion. The owner-architect had the idea to create a warm house for guests, who would like to explore the nuvels and the life of the famous author, as well as to spend their time to the beautiful location.
The village of Myrtia is one of the most picturesquare villages in Crete. In this village you will also find also the museum-house of the famous greek author Kazantzakis, whose nuvels have been translated to a lot of languages and have been analyzed from many people.
As the owner-architect comes from this village, he had the idea of creating a place where the guests can explore the life of Kazantzakis, relax in the pure nature and have the chance to meet the original greek hospitality from the local people. Because of the limited room, he had to think of an innovative idea which would combine the traditional character of the house and the modern needs of the guests. We hope that the result can satisfy both aspects.
The apartment consists of a big room of 30 sq metres. On the groundfloor you will find the living room with a convenient sofa and a table for your meals, the full-equiped kitchen and the bathroom. You will also meet modern-designed steps that are leading to the two "ontades" (small balconies inside the house), where the two beds (one double bed and one single bed) are located. You will also find wordrobes and storage places all aroubd the house in smart places.
Moreover, there is a fire place inside the apartment, which is the best company in the cold nights. An air-condition device will also keep the temperature cool at the hot days of the summer.
In the exterior room of the house, you will find a modern table under the shade, where you can have your morning coffee inside the nature. Just next to the entrance of the house, there is also a small garden with traditional trees and flowers that give a very beautiful picture to the house.
