Summary: My family goes to the beach every year and we decided to try Navarre this time. We usually stay on the beach but opted for this house on the Sound as we wanted a pool option and it was a ‘short walk’ to the beach. Things to note from our experience: - you will need to plan to drive a car to the beach access. It is not a bad walk but difficult with all the stuff you need to take. The house did have some chairs and wagons you could use. We used a wagon from the parking lot to the beach. - For us the trash (which is in the front of the house) smelled awful. It also looked like there was a pile of rotting fruit next to the house. Combined caused a huge fly problem. So much so that we bought fly traps bc they kept getting in the house. - the house itself was clean and there was plenty of rooms. The bed my husband and I stayed in on the main floor was the literal worst bed I’ve ever slept on. We ended up buying a mattress pad just to make it tolerable. The rest of the family seemed to be ok with their beds. - the main floor is very hot. Especially sleeping at night. There is evening sun and the AC controls are on the basement and top floors, something to keep in mind. - We rarely used the community pool. The water looked cloudy and not clean and it was small and the water was bath water warm. - there was a plumbing issue in the basement that the management team handled very quickly and efficiently. It was a city problem Overall it was not a bad house, just know these concerns
