Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Great location to stay close to Stafylos beach (by walking) and close to other great beaches (though bus or car) such as Panormos, Milia, Kastani. Matina does not speak english but is welcoming and nice! The room is essential and very basic, and for the price You cannot ask for more. It's very cheap and if You rent a car it's a perfect spot to stay close to the city (5 minutes by car) and the beaches. The bus station is very close too: beware that there are very few buses with strict schedules. I'd surely recommend this one with a car rather than with public transportation.
Negative: Bathroom shower is too basic and small: it needs a showered fixed to the wall and curtains that avoid flooding the floor.
