Come enjoy a 'touch of class in the country.’ This modernised home was once a typical home from the early days when coal-mining was in full swing, now it’s been transformed as accommodation for the discerning cyclist. The Whole House can be booked, comfortably catering for 7 - 8, with a maximum of 10 people. Our premises are designed for adults but families can apply. There's a large open plan area with its kitchen/lounge and bathroom. This space ideally sleeps 3 - 4, with a maximum of 6 people. As well there's a seperate Queen room with ensuite, adjacent is the twin room. For those doing the Timber Trail we can help you with shuttle transfers, meals and bike hire if required. There’s also plenty of lockable bike storage available for cyclists doing the Timber Trail. The large decking outside has been purpose built to provide guests with a refreshing place to enjoy the quiet outdoor ambience of this very rural township, a great place to share together, soaking up the relaxed pace of the area. Also out the back of the house is a large 'lean-to' off the shed, providing a casual place to gather while using the BBQ. You will enjoy the award winning Timber Trail mural that has been created in this area - take the time to view it or take a ‘selfie’ even if you’re not using the area. While Benneydale is a small rural village, we have a service provider known as Jilly's Hut who can bring meals to the door - meals must be pre-booked. For extra service Te Kuiti’s shopping centre is an easy 25-30 minute drive away. FREE BIKE USE for guests. The Benneydale basin of rolling hills is so beautiful we felt that our guests at our 'Bike Bach’ need to see it, however it is best experienced and enjoyed on a bike. First familiarise yourself with your bike by riding around the old coal mining village then very close by is Ohireo road, a very quiet 2.7 km on a no-exit road - with photo stops allow for at least 1 hour. Special conditions: Smoking allowed outside only No pets inside No parties We have no facilities for young children under 2 years old e.g cots/highchairs as our premises are marketed mainly for recreational/sporting groups.
