Welcome to Three Bears Cabin! We are a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, pet friendly, 938 sq. feet year round cabin located just behind the Shrine/General Store in Summerhaven perfect for family getaways! This cabin will comfortably fit 5-6 adults, less depending on number of children also attending. We do not budge on this number, and we do not allow big groups or parties.
The couch in the living room is not a sleeper couch. We have 4 beds: 1 King, 1 Queen, then another bedroom with 1 Full and 1 Twin. The Top Bunk of the Full bed is a reading nook, not a sleeping space.
We are safe for kids of all ages - well behaved pets are welcomed for a small fee per stay ($25). We have air conditioning and electric whole-house heat with an indoor electric fireplace. We also have an outdoor propane firepit (we provide the propane) + grill. No smoking allowed on property (wildfire risk).

Cabin Inside:
We have recently renovated the inside and redone the deck and added air conditioning. Located within walking distance of the main street in town, our cabin can be enjoyed year round as we have central heat and easy access from the main road in town.
Please understand we care for our neighbors and this mountain, and therefore we are interested in booking our cabin out to respectful couples, families, or small groups of friends. This cabin is not suitable for loud, wild partying and it will not be tolerated. Our cabin is a place where you can relax and truly unwind - we know you will create wonderful memories up here in this gorgeous unique environment!
We do not allow any type of open flames anywhere on the property. We do have an outdoor propane firepit and a propane grill - we provide propane. There is no vaping or smoking inside the property. If we find that were to occur, a large cleaning fee will be charged in order to rid the cabin of the smell so the next guests won't be inconvenienced, this can run as much as $400.
We have a stone wheelchair ramp and hardwood floors, and two ADA compliant toilets, but inner doorways may not be wide enough to be ADA compliant. We have a large oversized shower with a small step up that has two benches. Please message me if you have someone in your party who may need to know more specific information, and we hope we can accommodate them.

For winter months only we keep the calendar open 3-4 weeks at a time due to unpredictable winter snow and difficult nature of accessing Summerhaven if roads get snowed in. We do have a pass to get you to the top if the road closes, but the Sheriffs may still require 4WD or chains, we have no control over this requirement. If you travel unprepared for the conditions as required by the Sheriffs (not having 4WD or chains) there is little we can do and your reservation might need to be cancelled less a penalty fee or your trip delayed until they open the road to non 4WD vehicles. This can be hours or days (yes days if the snow is that bad or if plows are not available). It is just how it is in this unique part of Arizona! Please contact us with any further questions or concerns. When we know a storm is approaching, we take safety very seriously and will work one-on-one with you to figure out the best solution so you can enjoy your stay, but 4WD or chains are generally part of the solution.
Please note: Although we have year round access to our cabin, our driveway is steep (it is paved). In icy conditions (no snow just ice), 4WD will be required to park immediately next to the cabin...even if the main road to town is open to non 4WD vehicles. There is a parking area below the cabin for non-4WD vehicles which will then require you to walk up to the cabin with your luggage (see listing photos or) so please take this into consideration. Mt Lemmon is truly a winter paradise when it snows but storms can be tremendous. We can lose power (heat!) so we watch the weather carefully and may ask you to cut your vacation short if a large storm is approaching because we have had guests get stuck and be dangerously low on food with no help available (white out conditions on the road). Many people do not know how challenging it can be at the top of Mount Lemmon during a storm, so we want to make sure everyone is aware and prepared if they rent during winter months. Winter time in Summerhaven is magical as long as you are prepared and we will help in any way we can so you can have a magical holiday !
