Thirlmere Lodge is situated only 3 miles from Ambleside on a quiet, private woodland estate above the River Brathay at the entrance to the Langdale valley. The lodge offers the perfect 'home from home' for couples, or families with younger children. The Neaum Crag site nestles on the hillside amongst the trees in a peaceful rural setting in the very heart of the Lake District. The lodge has a lovely garden and patio area with distant views to the fells and offers easy access to all the attractions and amenities that the area has to offer. There are many beautiful walks from your front door and full access to the on site Pool Hall and facilities. (Closed mid November to start of March). Your holiday here will allow you to immerse yourselves in all that the Lake District has to offer whilst still staying connected with fast un-limited Sky Fibre broadband. The modern, fully equipped lodge provides a comfortable Sitting room with French doors to the garden and patio area. This room has 2 two seater settees, an LCD flat screen TV with Freeview and internet streaming TV, a DVD player and a quality music system. A well fitted Kitchen/diner with modern appliances including built in hob and oven with extractor, microwave oven, fridge with small freezer compartment and pine dining table with seating for 4. Ample storage and worktop space. A warm and cosy double bedroom with 4'6 wooden framed double bed with matching bedside cabinets and wardrobe plus space for a travel cot. A modern bathroom with electric shower and heated towel rail. A second cabin bedroom with 2 full length 2'6 bunk beds. THIS ROOM IS ONLY SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER PRE TEEN CHILDREN AND HAS VERY LIMITED STORAGE. The garden has mature shrubs and trees plus patio seating area with views of the distant fells and there is a private parking space. The lodge is heated with modern state of the art electric radiators and hot water is supplied by electric instant heaters. All heating and electric is included in the price. All bedding and towels are supplied and the lodge is fully equipped with all kitchen appliances, cutlery and crockery. There is no dishwasher (other than the male member of your party) or clothes washing machine but there are full laundry/drying facilities in the nearby Pool Hall. Guests have full and free use of the Hall which includes a small swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and table tennis table. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE POOL HALL IS CLOSED MID NOVEMBER TO THE START OF MARCH Cell phone signal on all providers is poor but you can usually get through if you take a walk. Come and stay, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Watch the wild birds, squirrels and rabbits in the garden. Maybe, if you're lucky, catch a glimpse of native roe deer flitting through the trees. Then as the evening draws in, retire to the cosy comfort of your very own log cabin.
