Be aware there are many steps to climb but it is worth it for the panoraric views of the River Hamble and the Solent. There is another thrilling twist when renting The Clocktower. On request you can rent the owners skippered 8 man rib where you can have the experience of meandering down the river, popping across to the historic Hamble-le-Rice village or for a more thrilling adventure pop over to the Isle-Of-Wight where you can dine in the famous sailing village of Cowes. The Clock Tower was built originally as a Water Tower but fell into dereliction. The original clock was designed in the 1930s it was considered unique in its time as it struck eight bells (ships time). The clock has undergone many refurbishments over the years and still to this day works and tells the time for all the local residents and visistors who come to Warsash and the River Hamble. The Solent is best known as a centre for many water activities and is famous worldwide for sailing events.
