With lovely water views and refreshing sea breezes flowing through, guests love being able to forget about the car and walk to the beach, the bay, restaurants and cafes. Fresh, airy, stylish, bright and beachy. You have your own parking spot 20 m from your front door. Seniors appreciate not having to lug bags up flights of stairs, typical in coastal areas. Bi-fold doors completely open up to bring the bay inside the large open lounge/dining/kitchen area. Furniture and beds are respected brands, purchased for comfort and commented upon highly in reviews. For the colder nights there is an electric fire, electric blankets for the bed and plenty of throws and blankets. Lovely and cosy to curl up and read a book. The main room has a comfortable Queen bed. An additional bedroom with a King Single is available at an extra $40, however please note that this is to cater for those who wish separate rooms, not extra people-- a two person maximum still applies. *Please indicate if the extra bedroom is required so it can be prepared.* The kitchenette was purposely designed to be adequate for short stays, so the cost of a full kitchen didn't have to factored into the nightly rates. You'll find a single shelf convection oven, single element induction cooktop, electric frypan, microwave, medium sized fridge, along with a kettle, toaster, Lavazza coffee machine and milk frother. There's also a gas BBQ, outdoor dining setting and covered lounge chairs in landscaped gardens for your sole use. Complimentary tea, fresh milk, biscuits and coffee are supplied. Authors and business people love the office with its bi-fold windows opening right up to bring in the fresh breezes and glorious view of the bay, often returning for the tranquility to get re-inspired. Many guests stay to attend weddings at Bells Resort or Killcare Surf Club, often leaving their car at the resort or club and enjoying the scenic walk to get it the next day. THE LOCATION The perfect location in Hardys Bay - the mark on the map is accurate but please ignore HomeAways 0.7m to Hardys Bay centre - that's to the centre of Hardys Bay! It's only 250m to the cafes, 500 m to the sand on Putty/Killcare beach and 250m to the National Park. Hardy's Bay is a small seaside village. A lot of artists, actors and authors live in this unique area surrounded by nine pristine beaches and Bouddi National Park. It is well known for its cafes and was voted by The Advocate newspaper as 'Best Area on the Central Coast'. It is a safe and friendly area that you can walk around at night time. Half of the homes are permanent and the rest are large holiday homes. If you want a restful holiday and want go home looking better than when you arrived, this is the area, even if we haven't availability for your dates. YOUR PEACE & PRIVACY You have complete privacy - with your own entrance, private verandah and shutters or blinds on all pertinent windows. You have sole use of the outdoors BBQ area and your car spot. Even though there's an apartment above yours, I use it for myself rather than renting it out, and after greeting you, I leave you alone. It's unlikely you'll hear or see me again unless you reach out to me as your peace and privacy is my utmost priority. So unlike normal apartments, you're not going to be disturbed by adjoining apartments having parties or the TV on loud at night. Yet you get to have the TV on loud without adjoining apartments banging to shut up. If I'm there, I'm usually working with noise cancelling headphones on and won't even hear you knock on the door. (Thus always message if you need anything.) I just ask you not to be unreasonably loud to neighbouring houses, otherwise the council shuts me down. The big bonus is I'm on hand to fix any issues if needed. I replaced a DVD player with a new one within an hour once, drove guests to pick up their car the next day after wedding and supplied alternate power during a blackout. So no waiting for a property manager representing a distant host to arrange someone to help. So you get the flexibility, peace and privacy of a house plus sole use of the grounds at apartment rates. MAXIMUM GUESTS This accommodation is for 1 or 2 guests only. Parties and get-togethers are not permitted out of respect for neighbours and council regulations. MAXIMUM STAY There is a nominal maximum stay of 5 nights so there is an opportunity to maintain the grounds without disturbing guests, but depending on surrounding bookings, longer stays are possible. Just enquire. SMOKING Smoking is not permitted inside. The back verandah is fine for smoking and very convenient. CHILDREN, BABIES Children must be at least 14. We can not accommodate babies. CLEANING FEE, BOND, BOOKING FEE, LINEN FEES None! We like to keep pricing simple so your final cost isn't nothing like what the nightly rate suggested. By not allowing younger children, pets, parties or more than 2 people, we have found very little damage occurs and could remove the complexities of bonds. Linen, bedding and bath towels are provided with no linen charge. ANY OTHER FEES? Only if you require both bedrooms is there a once off $40 surcharge regardless of how long you stay. Not subject to last minute discounts. BOOKINGS Bookings only taken for stays within 6 months of the current date so we can ensure the accommodation will be available and not have to cancel a booking on you for unforeseen circumstances. After hundreds of bookings over the last 8 years, no booking has ever been cancelled.
