The space
Welcome to our unique A-frame cabin in Luray Virginia, a scenic drive under two hours from Washington DC. The Sparrow A-Frame is a sublime blend of modern luxury and authentic West and North African influences, nestled in the tranquil heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Perched on a private mountain lot that is not far from town, this idyllic retreat offers an unforgettable getaway, seamlessly merging indoor luxury with outdoor grandeur.
As you step inside, an open-concept living area welcomes you, unfolding into a fully-equipped modern kitchen and chic dining space. Every aspect of the interior design tastefully incorporates the owner's African heritage. Relax by the wood-burning stove, enjoy your favorite TV shows or Movies on a 65-inch 4K TV, preloaded with Netflix, Hulu, HBO-MAX, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV, or immerse yourself in video games on the PlayStation 5 which is preloaded with the most popular mainstream games of the day. All connected to high speed internet through Starlink Satellite.
Accommodation includes a stylishly decorated bedroom on the first. This tastefully decorated bedroom exudes Moroccan flair with warm hues, intricate patterns, and a carpet seating area adorned with comfortable floor pillows perfect for lounging.
Gaze down at the living space from the lofted bedroom on the second floor, immersing in The Sparrow's magnificent architecture which also doubles as an inspiring workspace. This space features an all-in-one computer, printer, and Starlink Satellite Internet, all strategically placed before large windows that can be opened affording tranquil views of the surrounding trees - the perfect setting to spark your creativity.
The Sparrow is fitted with modern appliances for your convenience, including a full washer and dryer. Step outside onto our wraparound deck complete with a built-in 5-person hot tub. Kick back in the seating area, warmed by another wood-burning stove, and fire up a feast on our large electric grill.
In the front, a welcoming patio houses a fire pit and swinging chairs, providing a perfect venue for memorable gatherings against a backdrop of awe-inspiring mountain views. Nestled nearby is a cozy two-person hammock, inviting you to revel in the tranquility.

A few notes to make sure this is the right place for you:
Please be advised that the Sparrow A-Frame is a mountain property. Although the Sparrow A-Frame can be reached with a two-wheel drive vehicle regularly, we highly recommend driving an all-wheel or four-wheel-drive vehicle in wet conditions. From November to March, we strongly advise driving a four-wheel-drive vehicle in snowy and wet conditions. While there are plenty of dry days during those months in Virginia, there is simply no way to predict this in advance. Please take this warning seriously, as the Sparrow A-Frame is on a gravel road and although the gravel part of the drive is short, only about 3 minutes, there are some steep sections. We do not offer refunds for cancellations due to weather, so familiarize yourself with related expectations and prepare accordingly before you book.
Waiver of liability for use of the hot tub
The guests agree to use extreme caution and care in the hot tub on the premises and to pay any and all repair charges for damage to the hot tub and/or property caused by the guests. Guests further agree that everyone using a hot tub will shower and clean their feet upon the use of the hot tub.
IMPORTANT
The Sparrow is in the mountains and thereby surrounded by a variety of wildlife even a bear possibly. With this in mind, guests must carefully clean up the kitchen every night and securely package all food to prevent pest infestations. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANY FOOD OR TRASH OUTSIDE, WHICH WILL ATTRACT WILD ANIMALS.
