Welcome to 'The Silo' at Merribee Gardens. A unique and private one bedroom apartment in a grain silo, set within the famous seven acres of gardens here at Merribee.
What once was a derelict concrete structure in 2009 has been transformed into a romantic accommodation.
Starting on the ground floor you enter into a foyer area.
The first flight of stairs takes you to the bathroom level, with a freestanding claw-footed bath sitting resplendent, opposite the view. A vanity and toilet are located on either side of the bath, while an upholstered seat offers a restful view.
The second flight of stairs will take you up to the main bedroom, where you’ll find a double bed. This cosy room has views on three sides across the gardens and surrounding paddocks.
The third and final flight of stairs takes you to the lookout and lounge area. Relax as you gaze and take in the ever changing and uninterrupted 360 degree district views. You will find coffee and tea to be enjoyed with the provided kettle and Nespresso machine along with plates, cups and glasses, a fridge and toaster.
The Merribee gardens have distinct seasons always with something happening or flowering. We have over one thousand rose bushes which flower continuously from October to late June, before being pruned in July. We have kilometres of hedging, numerous botanical "rooms", vegetable gardens - both formal and informal, avenues of pleached Chinese Elms and Oaks, and 1,000 lavender bushes which flower in late November through to late January.
The Silo is a unique experience that will linger in your memory for time to come.

The silo is self-contained and for the exclusive use of guests. You will also have access to the 7 acres of gardens at Merribee, including use of the tennis court.
The owners live on the property and other guests may be staying concurrently in our Villa listed separately).
We have 4 gardeners at Merribee who work full time. They will be available during day-times to answer questions. We also live on the property.
Merribee is located in the middle of the Shoalhaven district, within 15-30 minute drive to: Culburra Beach, Callala (Jervis Bay), Huskisson (Jervis Bay), Cambewarra, Kangaroo Valley, Berry, Gerroa, Gerringong.
Merribee is 2.5hours from Sydney and Canberra and 1 hour from Bowral.
