Positive: This property as a whole is old - let's get that out of the way first. It's nicely modeled and well updated, but you can see some of the cracks within when you look closely. That's not the worst thing, its just worth noting. The garage is tight, but it's manageable. Great location, right on the beach, in what i'd imagine is a much quieter section of VA beach. 15 minutes from town, where there's an abundance of gas, groceries, etc. House is cute, nicely furnished, with a well stocked kitchen. Lots of grills and seating in common areas. Nice little gym with a solid variety of weights and machines if you're into that. Strong wifi - kids had no problem connecting and running all their devices. Room was very competitively priced, if we're bottom lining our decision to stay here. Check-in and check-out w as super easy - simply picked up an envelope with our keys containing clear instructions, dropped em in the night box on our way out town. Lots of games, books, videos, etc. in the room.
Negative: Despite being in quieter Sandbridge, this area was still more crowded than we're used to staying in OBX. Expect several rows of umbrellas/cabanas/chairs and lots of humans during peak season. Not the property's fault, but something to be aware of nonetheless. As mentioned, the place is old. Rust, peeling paint, and other eyesores are common place around the property. The elevators are finnicky - if the call button is pressed too many times, apparently the thing just shuts down. The elevators require a key card to operate, and the room itself takes a physical key. Not a huge deal, but maybe a minor annoyance. The unit itself isn't bad at all, it's well kept, but not without its own flaws. The water pressure is terrible (personal pet peeve), the tubs creak and crack, and some other little quirks - none of which are deal breakers. The pools are much smaller in person than they look in photos - it is what it is. The condo association has some pretty strict HOA rules - no towels on balconies, no beach gear in the hallways, no tracking sand in from the beach (impossible), stuff like that. It wasn't an issue at any point during our stay, and people kinda did whatever anyway, but again worth noting. All in all, Sandbridge is an attractive beach town. Has the look and feel of OBX with the hustle and bustle of VA Beach (which makes sense since it sits directly in between the two.) I feel we got our money's worth on this unit and overall am very satisfied. I've detailed everything I'd want to know in order to make a decision if I were renting at this location, good and bad.
