the refuge guesthouse is s self contained 1 bedroom building in Alcona, located just 2 blocks away from the main beached park. The area and this home is very family oriented and peaceful.
The space
Is a one bedroom separate guesthouse. The size is 600 sq.ft of private indoor space with these features to make yourself feel at home:
1 bedroom- generous size with med-firm foam queen size mattress and upon request a portable crib/playpen with change table. comfortable bedding, small wardrobe for clothing

Other things to note
this space is for those who are seeking solitude, relaxation and rejuvenation. This is not a space for parties or loud getaways.
the unit is NOT childproof , all children must be supervised.
Please note - smoking or drugs (this includes marijuana) are NOT allowed on/around the property
SECURITY CAMERA - we have 1 security camera at the front door of the unit for your security and severity of the main house back yard. there are no security devices inside the unit.
GUESTHOUSE MANUAL :
Building Access - the unit is equipped with a wifi smart lock. when the booking is confirmed a smart key will be sent to you and you will have to download the August Smart Lock app. The key will lock and unlock as you require and will expire after your stay.
Night safety - there is a door jam installed for your added safety and peace of mind. at night simply flip the latch over the hook to secure.
Hot water- is on demand/tankless so it will take about 30 seconds to get hot water as it runs.
Internet - Rogers wireless running approx. 100mb
Printer - there is a USB on the desk that connects directly to printer
Illegal Material - illegal downloads and material are explicitly forbidden
TV - there is a 50" HD tv for use and is connected to a sounder and amazon fire stick. Use the Amazon fire stick controller to turn tv on as well as sound bar. You can then navigate to the settings to login if you have an account to stream your shows. If the sound bar doesn't turn on, use the small remote to power on and the input button to flip through to get the signal.
Baby / Child equipment - there is a playpen, highchair, baby gate available for infants and children. please be familiar with the use to prevent any injury. Each item is sanitized after use.
Ceiling Fan - is controlled by remote, the power switch the third switch ( closest to fan) by entrance.
Heat/Air Conditioning - the studio has a mini split ductless system with heads mounted in the living area and bedroom. Use the white remote to turn the unit on or off and change the temperature , heat / cool settings. there is also a fan feature to help circulate air if you wish.
Gas fireplace - it is controlled with the black remote. Push the power button to turn on and wait for it to start ( about 30 seconds). Set the temperature you would like and it will maintain this throughout. Use in the winter for added heat if needed.
Safety of person and unit - please ensure that when the unit is not being used that all doors and windows are closed and locked.
Candles - in order to prevent any accidental fires please do not use candles
Cleaning Supplies - use non toxic cleaning products from melaleuca to help protect our guests and provide a safer environment.
Noise - this is a family property and neighbourhood please be kind and considerate of others. Innisfil quiet times are 10:00pm to 8:00 am
Checkout- is 11:00 am , please double check stove is off, fridge is closed , lights are off and water is turned off. You can place used towels in the bathroom. we will take care everything else in our clean up shortly after.
We ask that you please respect the property, neighbourhood and the use of all items provided. It is for your comfort and enjoyment along with all others.
Any smoking / drug(s), loud, excessive noise / disturbance to the neighbourhood will result in immediate termination on rental.
