We’ve lovingly restored this piggery. It’s modern and has no signs of the previous piggy residents (thankfully) but retains its charm - with oak flooring and doors and windows handmade from locally sourced natural oak. Bedroom one: super-king zip lock bed (sleeps two) Bedroom two: Single bed with pull out bed suitable for a child (sleeps up to two - but with little extra room) Lounge sofa bed: Sofa bed becomes a double bed (sleeps two) On the ground floor is an open plan living room/ kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, microwave and all the kitchen utensils you’ll need. It also features a wood burner and logs can be ordered ready for your arrival at a small extra cost. The Piggery is on a working farm where husband David and son Richard take care of an award-winning pedigree flock. Due to this, we do have working dogs and the days start early - some we apologise in advance if you're woken by a sheepdog, or the sound of sheep from the farmyard across the way. We’ve over 300 acres in an area of outstanding natural beauty – some of which borders the coast – and provides a great coastal walking and breathtaking views. Walk across the fields to Hope Cove – a small sandy beach with local pubs serving food and drinks to both locals and holiday-makers alike. 1 mile to Marlborough village with shop and post office 1 mile to the picturesque fishing village of Hope Cove (sandy beach) 3 miles to Salcombe Estuary Guest access Outside is a driveway, parking for one car (and additional parking available) and an al fresco BBQ area with seating and sun loungers! Neighbourhood overview 1 mile to the quintessential chocolate-box village of Malborough - local amenities and post office 1 mile to Hope Cove (sandy beach) 3 miles to the famous Salcombe estuary – with turquoise waters, designer shops and the best restaurants in the South Hams. Getting around You'll need a car or comfortable walking boots to get around here - we're a 2 min drive to the nearest shop and public transport isn't readily accessible locally.
