Summary: We stayed at The People's Choice for the eclipse. Our party consisted of two young children, two dogs and seven adults. The house was spacious and offered enough room for all of us to move about without feeling like we were squished. The kids loved having enough space to roam around and not be under foot as they played. The views from the house were beautiful, we even saw deer roaming around the yard multiple times during our stay. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked-all the pots and pans you could want, spices, baking needs, and cleaning supplies. The house was clean and well decorated. Some of the hiccups were- The stools around the kitchen island were very wobbly and none of us felt safe to sit on them. The coffee bar was highlighted in the review yet the two coffee brewers didn't work well- someone had to slowly stir hot water into the coffee maker to get any coffee... a very long process. We were bummed to see that the fire pit was not available, a note on the listing would have been helpful that it is only available in the summer months. The downstairs shower was tricky to use and keep the water in the shower pan because the shower curtain would blow out of the shower. The dishwasher leaked and filled with bubbles after having worked fine the previous day, we needed to run it a second time to clean the dishwasher and dishes. One of the dogs got into thistle weeds in the yard. Having additional chairs for dining table available in the house would have been helpful- we used some of the deck chairs to have our meals together. The house was a great location for our crew to gather and enjoy family time together. We were happy to have a clean and comfortable space to gather. Thank you.
