Amazing hidden luxury experience along the Quinnipiac River in a historic mid-19th century property with high ceilings, bay windows, & natural lights. Enjoy the scenic river and sunset views, and our nod to the area’s history as a prominent oyster port. Soak in our stunner original claw-foot tub, recharge in the sunlit living room, work in the dining/writing alcove, or relax by the bay windows with a cup of coffee. No kitchen, but we have a coffee press, electric kettle, toaster oven, microwave, fridge, plates, and cutlery. We are 15 mins drive from Yale, 2 mins walk to the downtown bus, and easy cycling downtown.

The Pearl was built in 1892, and recently redesigned by award-winning architects. The design pays homage to the area’s rich history as a prominent oyster port, and leans on natural materials, layered textures, and vintage objects to deliver a clean and modern aesthetic, creating a beautiful tension between the old, and the new.
We are on a tree-lined residential historic block, 2 minutes from the Quinnipiac River (not the beach). There are opportunities to Kayak, sail, cycle, bird watch, jog, fish, or for lunch. The Pearl is huge and has charmingly imperfect hardwood floors. We have a real claw-foot tub, but you are welcome to take a shower instead. And do expect some lavender, as we have a huge plant outside.
We offer breakfast and dinner for a fee, please ask during booking. Also, we can make our washer (in the basement) available for guests staying for a week, or more for a small fee.
