The Space:
Turn down a winding road with expansive lake views and arrive at our family's four season lakeside bungalow cottage. Perched upon spacious grounds and located on beautiful Huyck's Bay, you're away from it all, but only 10 minutes from farmers markets, restaurants, artist studios and a family friendly park in Wellington, ON.
The home is outfitted with a large screened and covered patio, BBQ, green space, kayaks, stand up paddle board and quiet dock area. We love it here and hope you will too
Huyck's Bay Waterfront Cottage is situated on a lake, over 150 ft away from the quiet street, on a half acre lakefront property. The property has a bungalow cottage, small cabin, screened in patio area, BBQ space, private driveway, gardens, and dock.
The waterfront cottage is winterized and ready for a retreat or time with family. The cottage has a comfortable master bedroom with a queen bed, and a cozy second bedroom with a double bed (and spare mattress). Plenty of children's books and puzzles, as well as mindful colouring and board games for young and old alike are available during your stay.
We love to cook so the kitchen is stocked for cooking and baking, or bbqing (though the food in Wellington, Bloomfield or Picton and at the wineries around are also fantastic!) and you'll enjoy meals on our family's simple and beautiful stoneware, passed down from my grandparents.
The cottage has a 4 piece bath and your stay will be complete with eco-friendly toiletries and fluffy towels. Out on the spacious screened in porch, you can relax over a glass of wine by the fire table or enjoy dinner at the table for 8 under the string lights.
Relax on the waterfront deck by the fire, view of the bay and incredible sunsets.
This home is fully licensed as per Prince Edward County STA bylaws. #ST-2021-0171
The bylaw stipulates the maximum capacity of the property is 4 people.

The Neighborhood:
Prince Edward County is a very special place. You may find yourself here one weekend, falling in love and moving permanently, a large number of people have. Affectionately known as "The County" the area is comprised of small villages and hamlets scattered amongst farm fields and quaint shops. Located in Lake Ontario you will fall in love with the people, the food, nature, and art. The area hosts 3 provincial parks and over 800km of shoreline.
Getting Around:
Visiting Prince Edward County does require your own vehicle. There is no public transit or Uber in The County, although we do have a number of taxi companies and car or hire services.
