The cabin was sold in May 2018 and the new owners were required to start this new HomeAway page, but remain fully committed to providing the highest level of service for future guests. The perfect place for you and your family to disconnect, relax, and escape the busyness of the world! The beautiful cabin and property sits directly on Lick Creek, which runs the entire length of the property. The creek is spring fed and runs year around. It's called The Lost Cabin because it is secluded, private, and an excellent place to escape and relax. The creek provides great opportunities for fishing, swimming, exploring, viewing wildlife, and generally enjoying the outdoors. The country cabin was constructed in 2013 and provides two bedrooms, a sleeping loft, bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, screened-in back porch, hot tub, charcoal grill, fire pit, and all the amenities necessary to enjoy your stay. The kitchen is fully furnished with refrigerator, freezer with ice maker, dishwasher (detergent provided), microwave, stove, oven, dining table, coffee maker (coffee provided), toaster, dishes, silver wear, cooking utensils, pots, pans, crock pot, cleaning supplies, and trash can (trash bags provided). The living area includes a roll top desk, couch, chair, rocking chair, games, puzzles, local area information, and a gas log fireplace. The living area is a big open space that provides a comfortable place for family gathering and entertainment. The cabin has a stacked washer and dryer (detergent provided) and one full bath. The bathroom has a beautiful slate/stone floor shower. Provided toiletries and supplies include shampoo samples, small soap, hair dryer, and inside towels. The cabin sleeps 6 people with one bedroom having a queen size bed and closet for storage. The second bedroom has two, extra-long twin size beds with luggage hooks and storage. The loft is equipped with a queen size bed, glider-rocking chair, and storage for luggage. The cabin provides many ways to enjoy the great outdoors and to take advantage of being directly located on Lick Creek. On the back of the cabin is a screened-in porch equipped with chairs and a hammock for relaxation. The back porch continues outside of the screened-in area into another seating nook, and a 4-person hot tub. All of these areas provide great views of the creek and other recreation areas. Next to the back porch is a cooking and entertainment area that includes a charcoal grill (one bag of charcoal and grill utensils provided), outdoor seating, and a fire pit (wood provided). The outdoor entertainment area gently slopes down to water for easy creek access. On the northwest side of the property, Lick Creeks turns slightly and the bed of the creek includes a rock formation which forms a beautiful swimming hole and fishing area. The swimming hole includes an old fashion rope swing for lots of fun. The rock formation provides natural water noise and another great area for enjoying the creek. Visitors can also explore up and down the creek bed as desired to further enjoy the experience. The cabin is centrally located to stores, attractions, and amenities. It is located only 1-1/2 miles from Norman, AR which has a convenience store/gas station, Dollar General, post office, flea market, and beauty shop. There is also plenty to see and do while in the area. Attractions include Lake Ouachita, Lake Hamilton, and Lake Greeson within a 30 minute drive; each of which provide great fishing and water sports entertainment opportunities. Additional attractions in the area include the Caddo River, hiking trails, canoe rentals, fishing, bird watching, wild life viewing, photography, sailing, horseback riding, digging for diamonds at the Arkansas State Diamond Mine in Murfreesboro, quartz crystals in Mount Ida, massages, spa houses, golf courses, and the Hot Springs National Park to name a few. All of these opportunities are generally within a 15 to 45 minute drive of the cabin. Additional information regarding local area attractions can be obtained from the Mount Ida Chamber of Commerce and Glenwood Chamber of Commerce. **PLEASE NOTE: There is no TV, DVD players, Wifi, telephone, and limited mobile phone service available for this property.
