The Loft at Graystone Grange is ideally situated for your country stay, being just two hours drive from Sydney and Canberra. If you are searching for peace and quiet, The Loft is just 10 minutes from Berry and Kangaroo Valley villages and is situated on Berry Mountain on a five acre property, with tranquility, mountain views and a beautiful garden (as featured in Australia's Open Garden Scheme) and privacy.
The alpaca herd, friendly geese and chickens love having visitors to feed them and collect eggs and you may see the local echidna meandering on his search for ants.
The Loft building is a separate cottage from the main house and is spacious, with room for 5 adults and children in a small nursery room with a little bed and portacot. There's a full bathroom, separate toilet, deck with hooded bbq, slow combustion stove as well as airconditioning, plenty of books, games, TV, DVD's and player. Substantial breakfast provisions are supplied and dietary requirements catered for. A kitchenette caters for simple meal preparation with a convection microwave, electric frypan, portable hotplates and all amenities and basic kitchen foodstuffs. Dogs are welcome, although they have to be on leash away from the cottage because of the animals and there is no outdoor fenced area provided.
Please note I don't take one night bookings during peak holiday periods.
The great dining venues of Berry are many and varied and most should be booked in advance at the weekend. Kangaroo Valley also has good cafes and restaurants.
Wineries are great to visit; Seven Mile Beach is 20 minutes away; Gerroa with the Crooked River estuary is ideal for children; Fitzroy Falls is 20 minutes and there are many walks to take advantage of the spectacular scenery.
Jervis Bay and the Southern Highlands are 45 minutes pleasant drive.
