This is such a special location - tucked right up against the dunes. The pathway to the beach is next to the house and you follow it 250m through the dunes past ancient aboriginal middens onto the beautiful sands of Goolwa Beach. In summer the patrolled section of the beach is only 200m along. The house is cosy, well furnished and provisioned, with a near new bathroom and kitchen. The main bedroom has a king bed (sheet supplied) and the second bedroom has a bunk with double on the bottom and single on top. The kitchen has near new appliances including dishwasher, and also an espresso machine. There are plenty of pots and pans and utensils if you wish to cook. Fully equipped internal laundry. Outside there is a large covered entertaining area with 4 burner BBQ, and an outdoor sofa setting with coffee table for relaxing in the sun or shade. The back garden is fully fenced. PETS DOGS: We have dogs ourselves and they absolutely love the beach! We think it's important that your pets can be part of your getaway too and as such pets are welcome. We do ask that you bring your own dog bed with you and do not allow your furry companions on any of the furniture. Please note that whilst the back garden is fenced it is not robust enough to keep in a dog who really wants to get out! ALL GUESTS MUST CLEAN THE BBQ IF THEY HAVE USED IT. LINEN: Beds are prepared with freshly laundered pillow cases and covered duvets/doonas. Guests then usually bring their own sheets (The King bed is supplied with a fitted sheet), towels and hand towels. We can provide the towels and sheets too if needed. There is a hire fee of $20 per person for this. LOCAL AREA Goolwa with it's large shopping centre (including Woolworths) and high street is a 5 minute drive. There is a good 18 hole golf course also only a 5 minute drive away, the Encounter Bikeway runs very close by, there are cellar doors, markets, surf schools and loads of restaurants all within easy reach. The Coorong and Murray Mouth are also easy accessed from Goolwa either in your own 4WD or boat or by organised tour. There is comprehensive information on local activities and dining options at the house.
