Our beach bach is well loved by us and has everything you need to enjoy a very relaxed and casual holiday. Kick back here and spend your time reading, swimming, beach combing - whatever takes your fancy. Our place is designed to allow for easy interaction with the outdoors - mainly the large back yard that offers loads of space for holiday activities. Our bach is not large, and it is not a home, it is a beach bach that typically allows the families who visit to really relax. After camping on the section for 8 years, we then created this bach and our family (and now extended whanau too) has been enjoying it for over 16 years.
There is no TV at our bach. There are lots of books, board games and other indoor and outdoor activities to keep the kids busy and active. And don't forget the beach as well! Also there are more than 150 titles on DVD with a little 9 inch portable DVD player to view them on :-).
The main form of cooking is a gas-fired BBQ alongside a double electric hob and microwave. There is no oven! When at the bach you do things differently from home! And there is no oven to clean at the end - an added bonus. Bring your own dishwashers!
The beach is wide and flat and appears to stretch forever. We have a lot of success picking tuatua, and enjoy crabbing also. Surf casting is another option that plenty of visitors enjoy.
The small community of Himatangi Beach includes the Palmerston North Surf Life Saving Club, Cosmopolitan club (that welcomes visitors), bowling club, holiday park, volunteer fire brigade, dairy and community centre.
We have been enjoying our place at Himatangi Beach for over 24 years and love it!

You must clean the bach before you leave, no one comes to clean up after you.
No linen is provided, please bring your own.
Pets are allowed only with prior approval and agreement. No dogs are allowed inside the bach. If this does not suit you and your dog then our bach is not for you.
