This lovely home sits on Cheney Lake with the Chugach mountains reflecting in the background and has lake views from the living, dining, kitchen and master bedrooms. Always professionally cleaned and disinfected between guests. Minutes from downtown in one direction, minutes from the Chugach state park and miles of wilderness trails in the other, this home is ideally situated for any Alaskan adventure. The Lake House is ideally located for health care travel as well as vacationing, as it is located less than four and a half miles from all four of Anchorage's medical centers and hospitals. If the weather is nice, enjoy the lakeside deck or the 5km trail around the lake while you look for eagles, loons, moose and other wildlife. At one end of the lake is a playground as well as three public parks within walking distance. The best of both worlds, only minutes from downtown; yet when you look out, it feels like you're at a camp in the wilderness.
A fully equipped kitchen, ready to prepare your favorite meals, is waiting for you. The glass top stove and microwave give you the choice of preparing a gourmet dinner or heating up your leftovers from one of Anchorage's many fine restaurants. At one end of the kitchen is a small eat in area, ready for you to sip coffee and read your favorite blog or news site on the free WiFi.
The main living area in this open plan has a beautiful vaulted ceiling living room with views out to the lake. A natural gas fireplace takes the edge off the crisp mornings or heats up a romantic evening. A nice flat screen TV equipped with Amazon Fire Stick for streaming is tucked discreetly in an armoire for those times when you just can't handle any more of Alaska's incredible beauty.
When you land that giant king salmon, the mid century table in the dining area is set for 4, but easily expands to seat as many as 10 guests so you can share the bounty with friends. Through the french doors in the dining area is the lake side deck with comfortable seating for 3, with additional seating available upon request. Sitting on the deck listening to the lake birds on the long evenings of summer is one of the great joys of this house.
The King suite has a Cal. king bed, sitting area and full bath and double vanity. The Queen's bedroom has a queen bed and small sitting area. The Twin's bedroom features 2 beautiful XL twin beds. A full bathroom with a walk in shower is just down the hall to serve those bedrooms.
There is an office area with a desk and router for internet connection just off the living room, as well as a lovely powder room also on the first floor. The laundry and entryway complete the living area downstairs.
