The Lake House at Canonto Lodge | Cabin in Calabogie

The Lake House is one of Canonto Lodge's popular upscale waterfront cottages. It can accomodate up to 14 persons in 12 separate beds in its four bedrooms. There is one king size bed, two double beds and eight single beds. The Lake House is frequently rented by extended family groups, larger fishing parties or for small conferences or seminars. The Lake House is heated and air conditioned for your comfort. The Lake House comes fully equipped with all required cooking utensils, implements, and appliances including a full-size refrigerator/freezer, an electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker as well as the usual pots, pans, dishes and bake ware. There is a wood-burning stove in the living room. Bathrooms are located on each floor and have a shower or a tub/shower combination. A television (Bell Express-Vu), DVD player and VCR are provided. A washer and dryer are located on the main floor. Guests supply their own personal towels and facecloths; all other kitchen towels and bed linens are supplied. Starter amounts of toilet paper and paper towels are supplied. Two propane BBQs and a picnic table are supplied. Wireless internet is provided at the Studio so bring your lap-tops and PDAs if you wish to keep in touch. Cellphone reception is available at Canonto Lodge. A communal fire pit is located on the front lawn by the lake. Wood is supplied for both the fire place and the fire pit. Norcan Lake fishing is renowned as one of the best bass lakes for both Smallmouth and Largemouth bass in Southern Ontario, so be sure to bring your fishing gear. There is ample dock space available. The lakefront cottages offer private, relaxing, upscale cottage vacations. Norcan Lake, located in southern Ontario, is just 60 miles west of Ottawa in the Calabogie area, and about a 4 1/2 hour drive from Toronto. Norcan Lake fishing is excellent, mainly bass, walleye and pike. There are three waterfront vacation cottages available for rent on the Canonto Lodge property. Each of the private waterfront vacation cottages is separate and apart and all have beautiful views of the Norcan Lake and the surrounding Madawaska Highlands. You will find each of the waterfront vacation cottages to be unique, comfortable and clean. Cottage rentals at Canonto Lodge are in high demand due to a long time clientele who have been enjoying our upscale cottages for many years. For our guests that enjoy boating - please note that as of September 2009, boat operator certificates are required for all boat operators in Canada. This includes your own boat. Guests supply their own towels and face cloths. For guests not travelling by vehicle, a towel service can be provided. Guests supply their own personal items. All bedding, linens and dish towels are provided. Cottages are equipped with two picnic tables and two propane BBQs. Propane is supplied free of charge. If you run out of propane, please let us know and a full tank will be provided. There is a communal fire pit on the front lawn between the Lodge and the Lake House for everyone's use. Firewood is provided. A screened fish cleaning hut with lights and running water is located down by the lake in front of the Lake House for your use. Do not drink the water from the tap in the fish cleaning hut.
