IMPORTANT NOTE: NOTE: THIS HOUSE IS CURRENTLY NOT TAKING SUMMER RENTALS. WE ARE SEEKING A WINTER RENTAL ASAP, WHO HOPEFULLY WILL WANT IT FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS AS WELL. (w/PRICE DISCOUNT!) SUMMARY: Why is the "Keuka Kutie” so sweet? Well it is quiet & private, located at the end of a dead-end street. But it is just a short walk to Penn Yan's historic Main Street, too, including grocery stores, restaurants, & wine-tastings. It is also ideal for cuddling on the couch & cooking in! You will hardly find a house so thoroughly stocked and organized. Also available are bikes, tennis equip, & sometimes kayaks. Need transport to/from the airport? Check with us. We may be able to help there, too. THE SPACE: For the discerning taste, "The Keuka Kutie” is a little house of 900 square feet, with generous amenities. Here are just some of the major highlights: *THE KITCHEN: Fully stocked and well organized with dishes, cookware, and small appliances such as a microwave, toaster, electric teapot, coffee maker, a crockpot, blender, etc. This is all in addition to spices, pantry items, and much, much more! *BEDS: “The Keuka Kutie” is ideal for a couple, or a couple with 1 or 2 older children. The Master Bedroom has a queen bed (with new 2019 mattress), and the smaller bedroom has a twin bed (also w/new mattress). The two rooms are across the house from each other, so it’s great for privacy. Then there is another large bedroom/office space that can be used with an air or floor mattress. Keep in mind, too, that the living room couch turns into a sleeper-sofa if needed. It is a queen, with a memory foam mattress. *CHILDREN? While we want to be welcoming to small families, we reserve the right to refuse booking to reservations that include more than 1 child under 5 years of age. The "Keuka Kutie" is *not* child-proofed, nor are there any supplies for feeding or sleeping infants, or playpens, etc. *BEDROOM AMENITIES: The master bedroom features a closet with hangers, bathrobes, slippers, blankets, valet, full-length mirror, humidifier, iron & ironing board, and an extra magnifying mirror if you want to use the desk as a make-up vanity. It also now has a Smart TV mounted to the wall for enjoying Netflix, Prime, etc. (included) *OFFICE: There is a desk in the bedroom with USB ports to plug in electronics. *BATHROOM: Spacious and pleasant bathroom with a tub. Stocked with linens, hairdryer, hair curler, soap, shampoo, magnifying mirror, and more. *ENTERTAINMENT: Enjoy high-speed wi-fi throughout the house, and a huge 49" TV in the living room (new since pictures)! While cable is not available, the TV is a smart TV with instant access to our free Netflix & Amazon accounts for endless movies, and web access, too. There is also an attached HDMI cord so you can hook your laptop to it, and a DVD player. Easy instructions are provided for how to operate all these devices. *LAUNDRY: Washing Machine and Dryer. Laundry soap provided. *OUTDOORS: The "Keuka Kutie" is located at the end of a dead-end street, across the street from a small, private school (up to 5th grade), and during school days it's a delight to hear the children playing when they go out to recess. But it’s not typically used on weekends, or summer, and it’s very quiet! The neighbors are quiet and friendly. The backyard is huge and private, with mature trees. There is a deck, gazebo, patio table and chairs, and a small grill to enjoy. *SPORTS & FUN: The “Keuka Kutie” is just a short walk distance to the popular Keuka Lake Outlet Trail entrance (wonderful biking trail!), and also a park with tennis courts. Feel free to use the provided bikes, tennis equipment, or if available, we have a couple of kayaks we can bring to you from our nearby camp, located just 20 minutes away. One is a 2-seater. OTHER NOTES: The house has electric heat, and an electric fireplace for heat and/or just ambience. It also has 2 air-conditioners that cools down both the front, and back of the house. There are also fans available in each room if you prefer, and a dehumidifier and humidifier. GUEST ACCESS: Easy parking in driveway and a short path to front door. There is just two small steps to get into the house. No other stairs. The entire house is available for your enjoyment, (except one room which is locked up*) as well as the yard. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Penn Yan is on the tip of Keuka Lake and is one of the quaint small-town destination points for those visiting the beautiful NY Finger Lakes region. It is known for it's many wineries, breweries, and it's large horse & buggy driving Mennonite population. While here, you may want to bike the famous Outlet trail, take a scenic wine tour around Seneca or Keuka Lake, or visit the famous Watkins Glen International Race Track. P.S. In the "Keuka Kutie," you'll find lots of local brochures and menus - and a comprehensive Guest Manual with lots of information on things to do, and places to eat. We are also very happy to make suggestions. GETTING AROUND: Many of the things to do and see are within walking or biking distance from the house, or a short drive. There is also a $1 bus service (called "YTS") that goes to several major towns in the county here, all from a pickup point right in town here.
