Positive: Good breakfast. Good selection. The rooms with buck beds for the kids were good. The location of the hotel was good with nice views over the loch and mountains. There is 22Kw electric charging points. Big carpark. And a Co-Op supermarket close by.
Negative: I didn’t like that we needed to book a time for breakfast at check in. We were going out early the next morning and they had a wedding party all booked in for 8. So we had to come at 7:45. By the time we finished at 8:45 there was still half the tables empty. It was the same the next 2 days. We couldn’t book in for dinner at the hotel our first night till 8pm. But when we we went out for dinner and in the bar the restaurant at 7 it was half empty with lots of empty tables. The springs were coming through on the mattress and noisy corridors, I kept on getting woken up by someone walking the corridors and 3 and 4 in the morning.
Summary: Good stay for Close to Fort William.
