Positive: We, a couple and the dogs, had a wonderful week at The Hideaway. Formerly old brick stables superbly morphed into this beautiful cottage/apartment by the hosts Mark and Anna. The pink decor in no way distracted the eyes, infact, it gave the interior a comfortable ambience. Furnished beautifully, a mixture of quality vintage and antique furniture with a modern twist, fully equipped,modern kitchen with cloakroom, large bedroom en suite, bed very comfortable., The Hideaway is set in the beautiful I.O.W countryside, dark skies, and footpaths on the doorstep, suitable for walking or cycling. You really do not need to bing anything with you accept toiletries, possibly covers for the sofas as we did, if you have a dog, doggie towel too if they like the sea. Dog bowls are also provided too. Tesco is the nearest supermarket stiuated in Freshwater town approx 3 miles away. Mark and Anna own and run The Chessel Cafe, just down the driveway, serving lovely lunches and cream teas, sit in our out in the lovely garden. The Sun Inn, we found is also a good place to eat, also for special occasions The Hut at Colwell Bay. Lovely walks also along Colwell Bay seafront to Totland Bay. Enjoy your first cuppa, milk in the fridge tea and coffee provided by hosts. Honestly, you wont be dissappointed if you choose this property.
