Summary: A group of us were in the area for a Highland Games athletic competition at nearby Newman Castle. The Green Emerald made the perfect accommodation for a “home base” for a couple of days. The house is gorgeously redone, spotless without feeling cold or unusable, and perfectly accommodating for those minor toiletries one tends to forget during travel (ahem, shaving cream). Plenty of space, indoors and out, for the five of us in attendance.One of the best I’ve stayed in. Will recommend to anyone I know traveling to the area and will absolutely reserve it again if future trips take me back to Brenham.
