Classic Island home in the heart of Boca Grande. Pet-Friendly. Beach access directly across the street through a lovely fairy tale type path! Three porches: one upstairs in front of the house with a view of the Gulf perfect to watch sunrises with coffee and sunsets with cocktails, one downstairs in back of the house with gas grill, sunning and seating area and large outside hot/cold shower and one enclosed porch upstairs just off the dining room (usually everybody's favorite spot). Kitchen and Bar area has EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Large open concept living and dining area with working fireplace. The dining table can seat 8 easily. Sleeps 6-8 quite comfortably. Great for holiday or wedding gatherings or just to get away from the daily grind.

Summary: We celebrated my wife's 50th birthday at the Gecko House and had a great time! The house is very nice/comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious (especially the master upstairs!). We cooked supper every evening except 1; the kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, utinsels and other various kitchen gadgets; and 2 drip coffee makers. The kitchen pantry is spacious and accomodated all the food we brought in. We brought beach chairs with us, but there are several beach chairs and 2 roller carts available for use. The screened in side porch is a nice seating area, as is the lower back deck/porch seating area as well. Everyone loved the outdoor shower; it is very well concealed/private.The grill is a Weber original kettle charcoal grill; we brought charcoal and lighter fluid, but found some on site (assuming prior groups left it). We left 1/2 a bag of charcoal to "pass it on." Finally - Susana and Norman (the property owners) are FABULOUS! Susana was very receptive and responsive to our questions. She even left a small birthday gift for my wife! Very thoughtful!!! We would DEFINATELY recommend staying in the Gecko House!
