This private mansion was once owned by the Busch Family of Anheuser Busch. More specifically, this property was one of three vacation homes owned by August Busch III. Once acquired by Escalante Golf (The Kingsmill Resorts parent company), 3 million dollars was invested into upgrading and updating the original structure to bring it up to date while still maintaining the original “bones” of the home. Upon entering the front drive your eyes will automatically be drawn to the grand snow white mansion and the two tear drop chandeliers from the world renown artist Timothy Oulton beaming through the expansive front windows. Once inside you will find panoramic views of the historic James River behind walls of moveable glass leading out to the private heated pool and hot tub. From your patio you have the rare opportunity to view both the sunrise and sunset from the same location. We have 4 master suite with large King beds in each sleeping 8 comfortably. All with their own spa-like bathrooms and deep soaking tubs you will never want to leave. A unique feature about the master suites in the Estate is that no two rooms share a wall or a floor with each other for optimal privacy. All boasting the same breathtaking view of the James River, the only change you will find will be dependent on if you are on the first floor or second floor. Just off the patio you will find the breathtaking chef inspired kitchen. With Wolf Appliances and a massive marble kitchen island it is sure to impress. The grand living room with the most comfortable furnished you will ever relax on is adorned with jewel-tones handmade Oushak pillows. With this open floor plan you will find this is the ultimate luxury accommodation to host a special family reunion, milestone celebrations, golf or spa get aways, or even c-level executive retreats. Upon confirming a reservation at the Estate our Estate Manager, David Wandrey, connects personally with our guest to arrange a bespoke travel itinerary. The Estate managers services are included in the price and include complimentary airport transfers, chauffer service, planning, and is the single point of contact for anything out guests may need throughout their stay. David is a graduate from the International Butler Academy in the Netherlands, this is the same academy that trains the butler staff at Buckingham Palace. With previous experience at Disney and the Four Seasons, David’s attention to detail and passion for the luxury travel industry truly shows with our guests and the relationships he builds. As a certified level one Sommelier our Estate Manager can even create wine pairings to go with your dinners served at the Estate. Our Estate can work with our guests to create a custom menu for any meals they would like served at the Estate. Chef services are complimentary and the only cost associated with hosting a meal is the food costs. We invite 12 guests to enjoy a formal plated dinner or 24 guests for a family style meals.
