Positive: From first to last, the staff were always helpful. The pub was very busy for Christmas meals, but I could always get what I wanted. This is an historic pub, but the rooms have been decorated and upgraded to the best quality. The food is excellent.
Negative: It comes with the historic pub ambiance that the stairs are very steep. Something to be aware of... but I could always get staff to carry things for me.
Summary: An historic pub with great food and comfortable accommodation.
