Positive: The pictures don't do this house justice - it's ENORMOUS! It's tastefully and comfortably decorated and is generally clean and in good working order despite being animal friendly - you wouldn't know. The beds were very comfortable and offered flexible accomodation for a big family get together. The big bath was a particular hit. As was the sky glass with netflix. We had some lovely meals around the big table. The location is great in terms of travelling to the rest of the area - 8 minutes to staithes, 15 to saltburn and 25 to Whitby to name but a few. The hosts were lovely and really responsive and obviously really look after the place. There is loads of free parking very close by and the area was very quiet - even on new year's eve. The neighbours were sweet and polite. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again in future.
Negative: The area immediately around the house is a bit run down but go literally 100 yards in either direction and Loftus really seems to be having its moment. Once the shops opposite are given a new lease of life this will be a lovely area to stay. When the listing says a small car can fit in the garage I think they mean a fisher price kids car. The garage itself is big but the corner to get in is impossible tight. 🤣 That said there really is loads of free parking in the immediate area.
