Inside your two cabins you can feel the quality and attention to detail. The Shepherd’s Hut houses the bedroom which offers a comfortable double bed, and through sliding doors an en-suite bathroom awaits with roll-top bath. In the separate lodge next door are the living quarters. Furnished in relaxed rustic style, this too is all yours and features an open plan kitchen-diner and sitting room with cosy corner sofa. There is also a further walk-in shower room here, offering another washbasin and WC in addition to those in the en-suite. Both cabins also feature underfloor heating throughout. In the pet-friendly enclosed private garden you can enjoy a curved stone loveseat, covered picnic bench, BBQ/fire pit and mature fruit trees. The Challoners is a place to enjoy true escapism, so the owners have deliberately left out TV and Wi-Fi (there is 4G signal however) - the perfect excuse to take some time for you. LOCAL AREA If you can pull yourself away, from the door there are 300 acres of foot and cycle paths to explore in the surrounding area, including access to the owners’ private 50 acres of woodland with one of the largest badger sets in Europe. The pretty village of Robertsbridge is 1 mile away, with a general store, pubs and restaurants. The Salehurst Halt pub is 1.5 miles away and has a large dog-friendly garden. Bewl Water is 7 miles away and offers various watersports, and the Bodiam Boating Station is 10 miles away which offers river cruises, kayak and boat hire for a relaxing day out. You can also explore Bodiam Castle 6 miles away, and a little further afield are Battle, the Cinque Ports town of Rye and the coastal towns of Hastings and Bexhill.
