Situated just 1 mile from the coast the cottages look out over unspoilt farmland with beautiful views towards the sea where boats can be seen in Falmouth Bay. The cottages, which have been converted from a 200 year old Cornish barn and are set in gardens and paddock of 4 acres. We regret no pets allowed Porthallow Cove is just over a mile away and a footpath takes you down to this small seaside village. Porthallow has a pub which provides lunchtime and evening meals. 2 miles away is St Keverne which has a post office, shops, 2 pubs and a restaurant. The Cart Lodge is fully equipped for all your self catering needs there is also a laundry room. There are no additional charges for heating or electricity. We do ask that you bring your personal towels. Menifters has three other cottages The Hayloft (sleeps 4), Amy Cottage (sleeps 2) and Dairy Cottage (sleeps 2). Menifters are no smoking cottages A rural location: This part of Cornwall offers the opportunity to get away from the crowds and traffic. It is a rural community, there are no high rise flats and hotels in this area and the many footpaths offer the chance to truly find peace and tranquility. From Menifters you can walk to Porthallow Cove in 25 minutes from where you can join the coastal path, Porthallow is the mid point of the South West Coastal path. The navigable river goes inland as far as Gweek and his stretch is characterised with steeply wooded hills and Creeks, most of which can be explored on foot and many by car. From Helford you can take the Passenger Ferry Boat across the river to Helford Passage. A two mile walk from here will take you to the delightful and exotic gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan.
