This unique place has a style all its own with it's spiral staircase and skylight, updated modern design throughout, and newly renovated space from top to bottom with the most gorgeous bathroom and spa like shower! You'll absolutely love this unique industrial style stay in downtown Columbia that's extremely central to all the city has to offer! It's technically a guesthouse to the Elmwood Park White House, but has it's own access from the street! Only the little yard is "shared".

Welcome to "The Carriage House" in Elmwood Park in Downtown Columbia! This unique place is technically a guesthouse to the Historic Elmwood Park White House (also an Airbnb), but you will have the entire space to yourself, only the small yard is "shared". It has it's own access/stone path from the street and honestly feels like it's own little property in every way! It recently underwent a full renovation in 2024 from top to bottom and you will absolutely love the updated, fresh, and modern industrial style with coastal touches throughout!

All linens provided. Starter supplies provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soaps, cleaning supplies, paper towels, TP, 3 laundry pods, coffee pods, and sugar provided).
The main floor features a living room with queen side sleeper sofa for 2, an open concept kitchen with concrete counters, herringbone tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances including a Keurig for coffee w/pods/sugar, gas cook top, dishwasher, and oven/fridge , pots and pans and essential cookware.
Up the spiral staircase w/dome skylight, you will find 2 bedrooms: a queen master bedroom sleep 2 w/sound machine and room darkening shades and the other bedroom has a daybed that pulls out and pops up to sleep 2 in the 2 twin beds (king size beside each other) w/room darkening shades and sound machine.
You will also find the amazing spa like bathroom with rain shower head, the most gorgeous blue tile and white penny tile floor, custom cabinietry/closet space, hair dryer, and washer/dryer!
We are walking distance to the Elmwood Roy Lynch Park where there's a playground and splash pad in warmer months! Just a couple blocks down the street! Great for kids!

We are a STRICT NO SMOKING (vaping, marijuana use, nor illegal drug use) property! If you fail to follow our house rules, your stay will be terminated with no refund or you may be subject to fines for remediation or extra cleaning fees will apply.
Pet friendly to dogs only. 2 dogs only with $75 pet fee per stay for the extra deep cleaning & sanitation required. No cats or litter boxes, chickens, lizards, snakes, aquariums or any other creatures that are not human. (I have to type that, because all of the above have happened to me as a host over the past 2 years.)
There are THREE exterior security cameras actively recording and monitoring the front door and the two side doors. If any guest tampers, covers, or blocks the security cameras in any way, their stay will be canceled without refund immediately. This is for the safety of the property we monitor these exterior doors. We do not have the time in the day nor desire to sit and "watch" guests but we may look back over past exterior footage if a concern comes to our attention that needs to be addressed.

You will have the whole place to yourself. While it is technically a guest house, it has it's own stone path straight from the street and is more like the house next door type of feel. Only the shared little yard is technically shared. It has a smart lock on the front door for easy check-in at any time. A unique code to your stay will be sent to you prior to arrival.
We live nearby, but you won't see us unless there's a problem or you need something!
Full temperature control inside the house. Please respect that the front house is also an Airbnb.
In addition to federal/state/local laws, and any laws enforced by your booking app, please be mindful and respectful of the following house rules:
- NO Smoking in or on the property! This is a strictly no-smoking property. If you smoke we will charge you an additional cleaning fee if we have to remediate.
- No parties / large gatherings / loud noise
- No unapproved overnight guests. Only the guests quoted on the stay are permitted to stay overnight. You may have a few guests stop by during the day for a few hours. But if you wish to have additional guests stay overnight, or a large group stop by during the day, please contact us first so we can discuss logistics.
- If you bring an unapproved pet/animal onto the property we will charge our pet fee $75 up to 2 dogs per pet/animal for additional cleaning. We will also require the pet/animal to be immediately removed.
- Unless otherwise agreed upon, you can not check-in earlier than the noted check-in time and day, or check-out later than the noted check-out time and day. If you attempt to check-in earlier or stay past your check-out time without our permission, there will be an additional fee of $50/hr. We may also call the police for trespassing.
- If you break/damage something, or discover something broken/damaged, please let us know immediately.
- Do not move furniture / appliances / etc.
- Do not unplug important electronics (i.e. appliances, internet, etc)
- Do not unplug, block, or tamper with exterior surveillance cameras
- Nothing but toilet paper in the toilets
If you break any of these rules we may charge additional fees and we reserve the right to terminate your stay without any refunds.
