THE BOLTHOLE on Pagham Beach is a world away on the peaceful Pagham Harbour RSPB nature reserve. Based around a Victorian railway carriage, THE BOLTHOLE has been lovingly renovated to include all creature comforts, steaming hot showers, netflix and super fast wi-fi! The character of a bygone era fuses with a modern renovation to provide the perfect place to enjoy a weekend with friends of a longer stay enjoying the natural beauty of the area, the incredible events at the Goodwood estate, Tinwood Vineyard or just the tranquility of the RSPB reserve. The original railway carriages remain and you will sleep 'first class' under their bowed ceilings! In addition a modern kitchen provides all you need to prepare your catch of the day and a open plan lounge allows space to kick back and relax. The house has four bedrooms, three with double beds and one with twin beds. Two bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms and there is also a carriage bathroom. In one double there is a charming cot bed for tired beach explorers. The dining conservatory is a great space for a game of scrabble or an evening meal and opens on to a sundeck and direct access to the beach. The sea is only metres away and at present we have a lagoon sheltered and ideal for swimming and canoeing. There is a gas BBQ and a local fisherman along the beach who has daily specials. On the beach is a fire-pit and chairs for roasting marshmallows and watching the often spectacular sunsets with a glass in hand. To the front of the house is a small deck to capture the late afternoon sun, a wild garden with in ground trampoline and an exterior table tennis table for some healthy holiday competition!. There is parking for at least three cars. The surrounding area This house is designed to help you kick back and relax, to that effect house parties and loud music are discouraged! Many of the properties on the beach estate are converted railway carriages or a combination of build styles and testament to the personalities of the folk who find themselves calling this their 'happy place' The dust men are strict! Please ensure that recyclables are clean and in green bins and that all other rubbish is in bags and in black bins. The house is accessed via a very bumpy private road with a speed limit of 10 mph.
