This property is unquestionably one of Kenya’s most charismatic & private beach escapes. There are some places that cannot be defined by an ordinary sense of time or words; they are blessed, pure and timeless. The Beach Cottage is a self catering accomodation with a Private Pool. It is the ideal retreat for couples, honeymooners, friends or singles longing for a place to UNPLUG - RELAX - RESET.
The cottage is spacious, cozy, modern and offers loads of character in design with unique interior amongst peace & tranquillity. It is nestled on a beautiful beach front property with ocean views through giant Baobab Trees, an our extensive garden and has private access to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
It also has its own private entrance, private infinity pool with hardwood timber deck and outdoor verandah furnished with sun-beds , lounge chairs, coffee table and hammock, a fully equipped kitchen, 1 air conditioned bedroom, ensuite bathroom/shower, spacious living room and ceiling fans for a fresh breeze throughout. The spacious covered veranda offers a large dining table, comfortable build in sofa with coffee table and a bar top, which is connected to the kitchen.
The perfect spot to relax. Enjoy the peaceful garden atmosphere and recharge. The extensive garden is daily visited by Sykes, vervet & Angolan Colobus monkeys, Bush babies, Butterflies, Red squirrels and Hadada Ibis amongst many other bird species. The cottage is the perfect retreat for 2 persons. We can upon request, host 1 additional person , if sharing the same bedroom. Additional nightly charges apply.
Daily Housekeeping service is also included! No washing up or making beds...our lovely Housekeeper will do the cleaning once a day for you, so you can enjoy your holiday in every aspect. A tip towards our staff at the end of your stay is always highly appreciated, but not compulsory and will be shared between all staff , even the ones you don't notice, working behind the scenes.
The private access to the beach from the cottage is via the sweeping lawn through hundreds of years old baobab trees, which leads to our shared private seafront beach area named the ‘Woodhenge’ (for reasons you will discover during your stay) with a swing, a fire-pit , sun bed, hammock and beach deck for sun and yoga lovers. A magical place for sunrise experiences or the perfect ‘sundowner’ spot for an iced ‘G&T’ after a long day on the beach. About 1-2 minutes walk...
Water lovers can enjoy a snorkelling excursion by glass bottom boat or 'Ngalawa' (local canoe) to the nearby Robinson Island sandbank, with departure directly from our beach gate (sand islands are dependent on tides).If you would like to pamper yourself during your stay with us, we can arrange a relaxing massage , pedicure or manicure which you can enjoy in your own personal space at the cottage. Highly recommended! :-)
In order to reduce impact on the environment by plastic bottle waste, we include in our nightly rate, bottled mineral water, which is available by a large water dispenser in the space of the cottage.
Sports Enthusiast: Kite surfing & Diving school within short walk on the beach.
We offer paid Laundry service, which is charged at an additional fee per item.
Important: We have a strict security system on our property. Only booked and registered guests will be allowed to enter the property.
Please note that in Africa we Do have different species of what we call "Dudus". A "Dudu" is the Swahili (local language) translation for any kind of insect. Although we take great care of keeping our accommodation very clean, we can not guarantee that you might come across a Dudu during your stay with us or in Africa in general. We also share our vast garden with a number of different animal species such as monkeys, birds and other animals. Please remember to travel with your own supply of insect repellent, as we do not provide these. Thank you.
