Positive: The location was perfect. Close to attractions and city centre.
Negative: The crockery required cleaning before use. There wasn't any dish washing liquid provided. There was out of date food from previous guests in the pantry. There wasn't any pepper provided. There weren't any spare or electric blankets provided. There wasn't any glad wrap or baking paper provided. It was cold when we arrived, and the single air conditioner struggled to warm the rooms. The bathroom door had fallen off and needed to be re-hung. The few information pamphlets provided were out of date. The remote control for the television required new batteries. The furniture fabric was stained. The general cleanliness was below what should be considered acceptable. I could not recommend anyone to stay at The Alcove.
