The 1851 Cabin was built in Arkansas and relocated to WCG- Ranch and is one of two vintage cabins. Guests will find this unique cabin interesting as well as educational. The 1851 Cabin is one of five properties located on the ranch (The 1851 Cabin does have electricity as well as a/c and heat). Upon arrival guests may be greeted by the ranchers: mini goats, miniature ponies, or many of the other animals that call Wolf Creek Guest Ranch home. The cabin is located on 60+ acres of beautiful hill country land that includes a pond, swimming pool, petting farm and so much more. Located only 11 miles from Fredericksburg and Kerrville making it the perfect location for a fun day trip to many of the hill country favorites. The 1851 Cabin will sleep three and is one of three vintage properties on the ranch. Guests will experience the luxury of staying in a Cabin built in 1851 with all the conveniences of a modern home. Inside guests will find a two level home with beautiful stained glass windows, gorgeous wood burning fireplace, rich wood floors and unique photos as well as interesting furnishings from early time periods. Upon, entering the cabin, guests are welcomed with a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hot plate, and all the basics one will need for an enjoyable getaway. Dine at the pine table or outside on the porch looking out at the beautiful hill country. The upstairs loft hosts a charming bedroom with a queen bed and a lovely balcony where guests can relax under the stars or appreciate a morning cup of coffee. Downstairs also offers a twin bed ideal for a child. Visitors will find the living space perfect for a romantic evening to unwind with a glass of wine while enjoying a cozy fire. Guests also have access to a washing machine and dryer. With so many adventures on the ranch, guests will never find themselves wondering what to do. Spend time with family swimming at the shared ranch pool located just behind the Guest Lodge. With spectacular views guests may spend the entire day soaking in the sun. Only a short walk away, enjoy the stocked fishing pond where you are sure to catch something, but remember you must release your catch of the day! The Pony Pasture will offer hours of entertainment for all. Enjoy feeding and petting, the mini goats and mini ponies as well as other animals. Adventure enthusiasts will like the nature trails, with over 60 acres to explore there is no telling what wildlife they may see.
