EFFICIENCY COTTAGE- This cute efficiency offers one full size bed, as well as a queen size sleeper sofa, one bath with large walk in shower, full kitchen, fully furnished with all amenities (cable, wifi) on pristine Thayer Lake. Sleeps 2 100 feet of Lake Frontage on quite calm no wake lake surrounded by beautiful pines and hardwoods. World recognized Torch Lake is right across the street. Thayer Lake is 1/2 mile from 2 marinas and the very popular Dockside restaurant on Torch Lake. Boat launch is less than a 1/2 mile away. Butches Marina has boat and pontoon rentals to cruise the Chain of Lakes. You can travel south on Torch Lake to Torch River into Skegemog Lake ending at Elk Lake where there is the quaint town of Elk Rapids and a wonderful boat friendly lake front restaurant with a great deck for outside dinning. Also you can boat north on Clam Lake to the Grass River and end up in Lake Bellaire ( great fishing lake ). The Grass River is a natural wildlife area with Swans, eagles and Loones. Truly an experience to enjoy for all. Both Alden and Bellaire are 15 minutes away with restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy ( Bellaire ), gas stations, and many very unique shops and dinning. Thayer Lake is 20 minutes from Shanty Creek Ski and Golf Resort. There are several great golf courses a short distance away. Taverse City is a 35 minute drive and Lake Michigan Beaches, Charlevoix is a 30 minute drive, and Petoskey is 1 hour away. Both are very beautiful cities on Lake Michigan and the drive is incredible. Mackinaw Island is also a popular destination and is a 1.5 hours drive and a really neat boat ride to the island - a unique day trip for sure. In winter times there are many outdoor sport activities which include: Downhill skiing, Cross county skiing, Snowmobiling, Snowboarding, etc. Thayer Lake is a great fishing lake. We supply a Rowboat, foot peddle boat and two Kayaks for your enjoyment. This is a nonsmoking unit, however smoking is allowed outside. 1 Dog Allowed Owner does live on property.
