We love our home and hope you do too. It was built in 1983 and has been around for so many memories! Please know that we take a lot of pride in keeping our home an inviting place for guests. It is not new or perfect, but it is loved.
Entry:
Here you will find a welcome table with a welcome binder. We spent a lot of time creating this binder with helpful instructions and area tips. We'd love it if you'd sign our guest book.
Sitting Room (Living Room)
This is to the right of the entry. Here you'll find a shelf filled with games. Our family loves games and bought each of these with guests in mind.
There is also a trundle bed with two single mattresses and a cloth, freestanding "closet" if you choose to use this space to sleep.
The door into the kitchen closes, but there is no closure between this room and the entry.
Living Room (The main one)
Here you will find a large couch, our one TV and fireplace which is decorative only. You will also find a piano! This is one thing we really wanted to provide. Please enjoy it. There is a table against the wall behind the couch with a U.S. map. We'd love it if you'd put a pin to show where you're visiting from.
Bedroom One:
This is to the left of the main living room and at the front of the house. Here you'll find a king sized bed.
Bedroom Two:
This is to the left of the main living room and at the back of the house facing the hot tub. Here you'll find two twin over full bunk beds. This room can accommodate adults too, but we call it "the kid's room." We've chosen books we thought kids of different ages might enjoy and have them on a bookshelf in this room.
Bedroom Three:
This is to the right of the main living room and past the kitchen. It has two queen beds and a large bathroom.
Full Bathroom One:
This is between bedrooms one and two, has a bathtub/shower combo and a separate vanity area.
Full Bathroom Two:
This is inside bedroom three. It has a large walk in shower, two walk in closets, two separate vanities, and our teenage son's photography of flowers from around our property. :)
Half Bathroom:
This is to the right of the kitchen and just inside the garage door. If you continue through it you'll find the laundry room.
Laundry Room:
Here you'll find the washer, dryer, iron, ironing board. Please note that the dryer is a bit weak. We've found that the "sanitize" mode does the best job drying loads, but sometimes they need run longer than normal. We replaced the dryer 3/2023 and are still troubleshooting to make sure it does the best job possible!
Kitchen:
Stocked 1983 kitchen with all the essentials for cooking and dining. Please note that we've decorated and maintained it nicely. Everything works, but it is not brand new. Maybe one day that will be in the cards!
Breakfast Nook:
Sweet little sunny dining spot with table and 6 chairs.
Sunroom:
This is our favorite space! Custom dining table for 12. Please note that we've done our best to nicely decorate and maintain this room and that we keep it thoroughly cleaned, but it is not new. Some windows have dings and cracks. We love it though, and hope you do too!
Garage:
Our second favorite space! Please enjoy playing ping pong or poker. This is not a climate-controlled space, but we do have fans to use. Feel free to open the garage door for more of a breeze. Please understand that bugs will get in through the open garage door. We don't mind sweeping them out after your stay, but please don't be alarmed if this happens due to open doors.
Playhouse:
We turned our shed into a sort of play house. The toys do get changed from time to time as things wear out and we don't have professional pictures after each change, but we keep fun things for younger kids to enjoy in this space.
Pool:
The pool is 3.5 feet deep at the shallow end and 9 feet at the deep end. It is open year around, but please note that it is not heated. (That's what the hot tub is for. :) We have a professional pool company clean and service the pool at least once a week. ***Please note: leaves and bugs sometimes blow into the pool. This just comes with having an outdoor pool and does not mean it's not maintained or clean and can even happen within minutes of the pool company leaving our property. There is a pool net that can be used to remove leaves and things if needed/desired.*** The under water pool light is not functional. Please do not use the pool alone or leave children unattended.
Hot Tub:
We have a professional pool company clean and service the hot tub at least once a week. Please keep the cover on when not in use to help maintain the temperature for your use and not burn out the motor.
Yard:
We love our half-acre yard! We chose this house because of all the wild greenery. We keep the grass cut in the area around the pool, play house and firepit. Other areas are more natural. We love the woodsy atmosphere.
You will have private access to the entire home and backyard.
- Four cars can comfortably fit in our driveway, maybe up to six if you're creative!
- Free street parking (in front of our house only, please, out of respect for our neighbors.)
Communion is key to a 5 star stay! We are here to help you with any questions you may have. To help us better assist you; we kindly ask you keep all general communication in the Airbnb app.

Quiet neighborhood with families.
CAMERAS:
- We do have three cameras actively recording for guest safety and to keep track of packages/deliveries and home maintenance. One is located at the front entry and faces the yard and street. Another is located at the garage and faces the driveway. The third faces the back entrance to our home and includes the pool and spa. Our cameras record audio/visual when motion is detected and ceases when motion ends. They are not actively monitored and are reviewed solely in emergencies, to track package deliveries, verify home maintenance appointments or for damage assessment. We value privacy and have no intention of monitoring guests; these details are Airbnb requirements.
POOL/SPA:
- The heated hot tub is included in your booking!
- The Pool is unable to be heated, but is open year around.
- Both are cleaned and serviced weekly and checked prior to each stay.
BUGS:
- They live outside in our green, green yard. The house is treated for pests, but they can still enter if doors or windows are left open, even for a few minutes. Please be aware that this can happen due to our woodsy yard.
NIGHTLY RATE/VALUE:
- Our pool and hot tub add significant value to vacationing at our home. We love being able to offer these amenities! The additional cost of operating, maintaining and cleaning our pool and hot tub is reflected in our nightly rate which does vary by season.
DRYER:
- We replaced our dryer in 2023, but it is still drying at a lower temperature so additional time may be needed to dry your load. We've found that the "sanitize" setting does the best job.
CLEANING/PHOTOS:
- We pay a professional housekeeping company to clean our home prior to each stay. They take before and after pictures to document the cleanliness and condition of the home. This is for our safety and yours.
SATISFACTION:
- Please take the first hour after check in to look over our home and let us know if there are any issues you have with your booking and if you are dissatisfied in any way. No refunds or discounts will be offered for satisfaction issues that were not communicated within the first hour of checking in. Please don't wait until a few days into your stay or after check out to tell us something we could've addressed right away. We sincerely hope to help resolve any concerns you have. Please give us the courtesy of doing that.
COMMUNICATION:
- We do our best to respond quickly to our guests! Please know that we (host and cohost) are familes with families. From 8 pm - 8 am only emergency communication is typically available. Feel free to message us anytime, but if its after hours, we can't guarantee we'll be available to respond until after 8 am.o{
HOUSE RULES
We look forward to hosting your stay! We are easygoing and have the following rules only for our protection and the benefit of all our guests.
- HOME SATISFACTION: Any dissatisfaction with our home must be communicated within 1 hour of checking in. Please take this time to determine if you will be happy with your stay. We are always happy to work with you to resolve any concerns including things that happen after the first hour, but please don't wait until a few days into your stay or after checkout to bring things up that we could've addressed had we known earlier. No refunds or discounts will be given based on any dissatisfaction after the first hour. Our housekeeping team takes photos of our home, its condition, and its cleanliness before each guest. This is for our protection and yours.
- CHECK IN & CHECK OUT Check-in is after 4pm, check-out is before 11am. It takes 3-5 hours to clean the home between guests and there may be guests checking in the same day you check out or checking out the same day you check in. Guests who remain past the 11am checkout time without prior agreement agree to pay a late checkout fee of $50 per hour.
