A warm welcome to all our guests. We are a small Swiss-Floridian B&B homestay/ host family from Deland, Florida. A beautiful, cozy home in nature, privately located on a quiet street is waiting for your visit. Only 5 min. walk from downtown Deland, restaurants, parades, Stetson University, ice cream places, Knick knack gift/antique shops, night life, hospital and parks. Sky diving - drop zone/ Airport is only 8 min. by car close. Who are we and what can we offer !!!!!!!!!!!________________________! We would love to challenge you, to try out something completely different, maybe something out of your comfort zone 😊 ???????? Something more personal, something more private. Why??___________________ Because we are your home, away from home. Our home is private and very PERSONAL. Every guest has a name, a story to tell. Happiness and personal drama all under one roof. Our guests are part of this big patchwork family of all age, religion, political orientation, origin, profession and tradition’s. This is a private family home, where we, the owners live on this beautiful property. Our BnB is our income. We work 24/7, all year long. I am a registered nurse from Switzerland and my husband is an IT manager from Orlando. We always try to go above and beyond for our visitors. We are dedicated to make your stay as comfortable as possible, unique and unforgettable. Everybody is welcome to experience this unique caring and personal ambience. I do organize day tours to beautiful, exotic, relaxing, adventures and historical places. Learn English in our home. We do offer transportation. The Beach (Daytona) is only 25 min. from our home. Deland is situated between DAYTONA BEACH and ORLANDO. It is famous for Skydiving, snorkeling, springs, wild life, bike weeks, Ocala National Forest, horse racing etc. THE BEST THING IN OUR HOME, _________________________________ are our guests, which bring an immense diversity of life experience, language, culture etc.... Some guests have a degree, and some don't. This combination of uniqueness is what brings life and adventure to our Bed and Breakfast. It never gets boring. Stranger can become friends. You can interact with our guests or have your privacy, whatever works best with your personality or life situation :-). GUEST ROOMS_______________ We do have 5 cozy guest rooms and 1 cozy apartment. Some guest rooms have a shared (shower) bathroom/ private bath and some rooms have a kitchen. Many rooms have a private entrance. The apartment is next to our main house with easy parking. Who are our guests ____________________________ Our guests of all ages are coming from around the world. Everybody is welcome. Some guests come to us to re-evaluate their life's after a divorce, or a stressful job/ life situation. Other guests come to town for their medical treatment, are visiting their loved once in a retirement home. Other guests, tourists, just love travelling, others, are on a business trip or parents visiting their children at Stetson University. Parents from around the world send their teenagers to us for different reasons, a daughter has send her 80 year old blind father to us, and another person has send his smaller brother from Saudi Arabia to us, in order to take care of his complicate fractured leg, which was operated in the USA and Saudi Arabia etc….. BTW: I am mama goose for all Stetson kids ( in case something happens), as their parents live far away :-) Our guests call us the United Nation Home :-) Some guests stay 1-2 nights and other guests stay long term ( 3-6 -12 month) like our Stetson students/ professors, travel nurses, people between selling and buying a new house etc.. It all happens here!!!! Happiness and drama under one roof!! This is life. We do always have an open ear for our guests concerns/needs ;-) We highly respect our guest’s cultures and traditions as they come from all over the and old, we all get along just fine :-) Important to know!!!_____________________________________ We kindly ask our guests to please Take of The Shoes before entering the main house. If you wish, you can bring your own house shoes. Elderly, injured guest DO NOT have to take off their shoes. We do provide house socks. BREAKFAST TABLE_________________________________ Guests usually eat breakfast at 1 big kitchen table. It gives everybody the opportunity to get to know each other. There are days, where no one is coming for breakfast, and other days, we have 2- 4 or 12 guests for breakfast. Some guests like to eat breakfast outside, underneath the gazebo or by the screened in porch.…. enjoy breakfast where ever you feel comfortable… Breakfast____________________ We serve a large variety for breakfast. Breakfast is between 7.00 and 9.30 am. No breakfast will be served before 7 am and after 9.30 am. Between 7.50-8.15 am, Mon.- Fri. we might set out a buffet server, as I need to bring our son to the nearby school. If you like to invite additional guests for breakfast, which are not staying at the Swiss Floridian BnB, its $10/ person. IMPORTANT !!!! NO BREAKFAST WILL BE SREVED between the 24th-26th of DECEMBER and 1st. of January. We kindly ask our guests during the time 24th - 26th of December, not to use the common kitchen/living room area, as these days are reserved for our family get together :-). Thank you so much for your understanding. Check in:__________________ It is usually after 4 pm. You might be able to check in earlier, just let me know and I will see if it is possible. Always text/call me 1-2 hours prior of arrival. If you arrive after 9 pm, you might have to check in by yourself, we will give you the directions to the room/door codes etc.. prior of arrival. Self- check in: _________________ It’s usually after 9pm, but it can also be at any time during the day/ night from Monday to Sunday. We usually always welcome our guests in person. It is very important to me to have the one on one, especially on arrival, to explain how everything works, like TV, A/C, light switches, door codes, breakfast etc…Some guests might have special needs/questions or concerns on arrival. We do offer self-check in (if the room is ready and cleaned) at any time of the day/night, when we are not home, are on sightseeing tours with visitors, are busy with our transportation service or running errands etc…. This also helps our guest to take the check in hours easy, keeps them flexible, it also makes them drive safe, peaceful, without any rush or pressure 😉. Check out is by 11am. ____________________________________________ IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!! We kindly ask all our guests to fill out information in our GUEST BOOK. DRIVER-ID, E-Mail, emergency contact etc....This is to keep our guests/ family safe and if there would be a medical emergency, we would have all necessary information's…..Your information will be treated confidentially. IF YOU DO NOT fill out your information, DRIVER ID OR PASSPORT we can unfortunately not let you stay at our home.
