This is a true ISLAND paradise! We take you over by boat, it' s a 3 min. ride on our Boston Whaler or bring your own boat, dock at Cedar Island & enjoy the surrounding marinas. The island is off the grid, solar powered for lights, to charge phones and computers. Create a Hot Spot for internet service. There are no restaurants, stores, cars on the island just endless beaches! Stay in this 1940's sweet summer cottage and enjoy outside showers by the sea and stars! Cottage comes with canoe and life vests! After the BOAT RIDE, getting off on CEDAR ISLANDS private dock you suddenly relax. Slow down, breathe deep and inhale the tranquil air. Listen to Seagulls and squint your eyes at the shining sea. It is easy to fall in love with Cedar Island... That is what happened to us - and now we want to share this truly special place, because you have to experience it! The cottage in the center of the island. A beautiful large tree and sitting areas to enjoy views and cool down in the shade. In the back is a large porch to BBQ, or and gaze at the harbor. The interior - all wood with a crisp new coat of white paint - feels beachy and spacious and you can see the beams and woodwork all the way up to the roof. A kitchen with a full sized fridge and stove and an island feel that is inviting and cozy. Two bedrooms, one with a queen sized and one with a full sized mattress are airy and clean. A couch in the living room will open up into a single mattress in the common space. There is a bathroom with an outside shower - heavenly. Simple, clean and tastefully decorated. WITHOUT A BOAT to get to the ISLAND! NO PROBLEM! You don't need your own boat to get to Cedar Island - we will take you there. We will meet you at the Port Clinton Marina, in Clinton, where you park your car and we will go over to the island on our motor boat( Boston Whaler ) we will show you the ropes of Island life! When your trip is over - we will come back to get you! The rental cottage comes with use of a canoe and life vests, you SIGN a simple waiver, but feel free to bring your own small boat, a canoe or kayak or dinghy - perfect for exploring the surrounding bay and marshes as well as for the occasional outing to the mainland. or just enjoy quiet strolls along the beaches, incredible sunsets, swimming, canoeing and grilling... FYI: BOATERS (if you are bringing your own boat to dock at CI) Boating is big in Clinton, your own up to 20' boat would allow you to enjoy docking on CI, fishing, water skiing, traveling out on the Long Island Sound and take advantage of activities at Clinton’s seven full service marinas with parking slips for your boat.
