Summary: The room is falling apart. The electrical outlets need replacing, there are loose parts in the lighting near the bed, the room smells like stale smoke even though we requested a non smoking room. The front desk attendant was smoking just outside the front doors, cussing and complaining to her manager. Overall that is a bad first impression. The owner needs to put some money into this place to at least brighten the finishes and make sure the fixtures and electrical are functional. We paid well over the market value for this type of room as it is graduation week at Virginia Tech and all the hotels are raising their rates due to demand. I would not stay here again regardless as it is not worth the price even when it goes back down to a normal everyday rate.
