We're sure you'll find this magical spot just as wonderful as we do. Sunset Bay Retreat is geared towards families who love the outdoors! In the summer It offers a level sandy swimming area situated by the mouth of Stella Creek which will please canoeists and kayakers as well as big lake water sports enthusiasts who like skiing and tubing. This vacation spot is also perfect for both fisherman and hunters because Lost Lake occupies 541 acres and is one of the best fishing lakes around for Musky, Northern, Walleye, Bass and panfish and we are right across the road from Vilas county lands which will certainly please the hunters! We also just installed a fish cleaning station with running water so you can take home what you don’t cook over the open campfire. In the winter at Sunset Bay Retreat you can enjoy Icefishing, Snowmobiling and Snowshoeing. Lost Lake is part of the Saint Germain Smowmobile Trail System for access to hundreds of miles of trails! Our lakeside cabin offers you the quaint cozy charm of the North woods with over 130 feet of Lake Frontage nestled by Stella Creek so you truly are tucked away lakeside from seeing anyone! Wake up to beautiful lake views, soaring trees, and wildlife. Just steps outside our cabin door and relax on the deck or enjoy a camp fire lakeside as you watch the sun set over Lost Lake. Inside you will find two bedrooms, 1 full bath (Newly Remodeled May 2012). A fully equipped kitchen ( Newly remodeled in May 2013) complete with microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. Amenities that will make your stay more comfortable. The dining room table easily seats 6 and a high chair is available as well. The living room has a pull-out queen size sofa for additional sleeping areas (ALL LINENS ARE PROVIDED). We also have 2 Twin and 1 Queen Blow up Beds available. A beautiful wood burning fireplace is perfect for winding down in the evenings and playing games fireside. Sunset Bay Retreat is located in the Town of St. Germain which is in the heart of Northern Wisconsin’s famous vacation land. You'll find mile after mile of trails for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, biking, hiking and lakeside strolls. We have kayaks available so you can explore Stella Creek and Stella Lake And year-round, you'll find top-notch accommodations and friendly restaurants.
