Sunny Hill is a stunning extended home in a quiet residential area only 6 miles from the heart of Belfast city. Located within Dunmurry Village there is an abundance of amenities within walking distance to collect some groceries or restaurants to enjoy a meal at the end of a long day. This property is perfect for guests who are looking for a warm homely base whilst exploring all that Belfast and N. Ireland has to offer. The Space: This gorgeous home has been so tastefully decorated and kitted out to offer a truly home from home. There are 3 bedrooms. A large luxury master with en-suite, a bright and comfortable double room and a cute single room with a design feature ceiling window. There is a large living room with comfortable seating ample for 5 adults. The living room opens out via double doors to the large kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is so well equipped with all necessary for preparing breakfast or that family dinner party. All appliances including a coffee machine are provided. The dining area seating up to 6 overlooks the garden. In the summertime guests can open the double doors to garden area and enjoy the evening sunshine whilst sipping a chilled glass of wine. There are two bathrooms in this property. One main family bathroom with shower over bath and a shower/toilet en-suite leading from main master bedroom. We feel that the space is perfect for families, corporate visitors here for work and couples wanting to privacy to enjoy the space and use as their base while exploring the city. We are 'SuperHosts' on Air bnb and we have been given the privilege of receiving bookings and communicating with Sunny Hill's guests up until they day of arrival. This property is exclusively hosted by its owner, Bronagh. Bronagh is a local and has so much knowledge of the area. She is a truly lovely host and works so hard to make every part of a guests stay memorable. We know that guests will return in the future not just because of such a beautiful home.... but the reception and efforts Bronagh puts in to hosting them Bronagh is a local business woman herself and owns 'Good Times Boutique Gift and Card Shop' at 161 Kingsway in the village. She has a true understanding of providing not only great service, but also on those little features that give such comfort and style to a property. A lot of the items in Sunny Hill have come from her store. The Neighborhood: Sunny Hill is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac. No through traffic means no noise! There is a drive-way for parking your car. We do ask guests to respectively consider our neighbours when it comes to noise. Dunmurry is so close to the city and there are shops, restaurants within a few minutes walk. The railway station is also only 5 minutes walk and such a short and stress free journey to either Lisburn or Great Victoria Street Station where all the tours set off from. Please do have a look at our list of attractions/things to do. Getting Around: The train station is 5 minutes walk from Sunny Hill and a very easy 4 stops to Great Victoria Street. The motorway leading north and south are also close for those coming from Dublin or Belfast International Airports. The house has a driveway for private parking. The location also gives quick access for guest time here during their visit. Lisburn is also only 5 miles from the house by car. The train reaches its centre easily too and there are so many things to see and do in the town. Other Things to Note: On occasions when the host is not available to meet guests on arrival, she may offer a code to access the house. This avoids any delay or waiting time so that you as a a guest get to settle in and make yourself at home before Bronagh can show you around. We hope that you find these useful :-) Dunmurry Village: McGlones Bar is within walking distance from the house and they have great food and live music most weekends. A weekly pub quiz too! The atmosphere is great and if you are here to sample the local Irish social scene, we recommend this place to start! Pizza Belleza Restaurant & Takeaway and Jacks Real Honest Food Restaurant & Takeaway are great places to stop for a meal or to bring food home after a day of sightseeing or working. They are also very family friendly for the little ones. They are both within 10 minutes walk and both have websites for menus so check them out. Locally there are a few Chinese, Indian and fish and chip shops also. Other amenities such as Tesco, fuel station, post office, chemist/pharmacy, small convenience stores are all within easy reach on foot. Good Times Boutique Gift and Card Shop - see photo slide. This is our Host Bronagh's business and where some of the interior items come from in Sunny Hill. Good Times also specialise in balloons and party / celebration items so if you are visiting for a celebration do get in contact or visit for a browse. Location is 161 Kingsway. There are many other local areas of interest such as Mary Peters Track, Dunmurry and Malone Golf Clubs and the Rose Garden at Lady Dixon Park. Divis Mountain is a popular place for hikers and mountain bikers who want to blow the cobwebs off and get that panoramic view of the whole city from up above. Lisburn (within 5 miles of Sunny Hill): Hilden Brewery. Ireland's oldest independent brewery. A working brewery with licensed restaurant in a beautiful and historic setting at Hilden House, located in the village of Hilden, close to Lisburn. Hilden Brewery is a family run microbrewery. Visitors to the brewery can discover the magic of brewing brewed beer.and sample the subtleties of flavour and character of Hilden's finest beers. The Irish Linen Centre & Museum: Explore Ireland’s industrial heritage in the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum’s award-winning exhibition ‘Flax to Fabric: the Story of Irish Linen’. Trace the history of linen production in Ulster, from the earliest times to the present, and see live spinning and weaving demonstrations. Belfast: visitbelfast dot com (a great site for events/attractions) There are so many places and things to do, so I shall list all !!!! Cathedral Quarter, Belfast. Cobbled streets and a hot spot for bars, whisky shops and eateries. Not to mention the Saint Anne's Cathedral itself which is open to visitors. Titanic Visitors Centre and surrounding attractions. You can also climb on board the HMS Caroline, jump on a tram to listen to the history of the dock where the Titanic was built or eat in the trendy 'Cast and Crew' cafe. This area is a hub for film crews and movies / tv series are regularly filmed in the Titanic Studios nearby. Not to mention the very well known Game of Thrones! Victoria Square - a shopping centre with well known eateries, cinema and designer stores including John Lewis. You can also take the elevator to the viewing area within the Dome. SSE Arena / Belfast Giants Ice Hockey - a great way to spend an evening after visiting the Titanic area. They have a cinema, bowling and restaurants within the arena. Most large concerts and events take place here. And lots more....
