Positive: Location was great - central to all other areas we visited. Property was clean, spacious and amenities were good. Breakfast place recommended by host was great. Host provided keycode in advance so easy to get in.
Negative: On the 1st day of arrival, one of the guests found the front door open & contacted the host right away about it. The response from the host was not what we would have expected - no explanation or apologies. Did not leave us with a good feeling of safety. Both bed mattresses were uncomfortable as they were way too soft - to the point of being sunk in when you sit (all guests were average weight). We all put cushions or pillows on top and slept on the cushions to try to get a little more firmess (didn't help that much). There is a musty smell in the house, especially in the entrance by the laundry room. Outdoor seating area could use an umbrella for shade. Welcome cookies was a nice touch except one package was expired.
Summary: Overall a good stay but some improvements is recommended.
