Less than 5 miles from the Swiss border, the villa also provides easy access to the Swiss towns of Lugano and Locarno. Lake Como is a one hour drive and trains run direct from Luino to Milan in an hour. All this makes this Italian Lakes villa a really convenient base to enjoy some sightseeing.

Luino is a lakeside town that has seen massive improvements over the past 10 years. The lakefront has seen considerable investment. The lakeside shop facades have been restored and the old lakeside car park has been transformed into a beautiful lawned park area, the perfect setting to enjoy an evening passeggiata. Notably, Luino businesses don't shut down in the Winter due to its thriving local population.

The location is quiet and peaceful and guests are lucky enough to often enjoy the company of two wild peacocks who live in the nearby tree. A mountain stream runs down one side of the property. Getting Around:
Car hire is essential if guests would like to stay here. However, once at the lakeside, guests can easily use the boat network that criss crosses the lake.
