Steve's House at Maple Hill, with five bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 half baths, 2 futons and a sleeper couch, has a tremendous great room with a cathedral ceiling, and is a perfect getaway for groups of 5 to 15. Steve's House is situated in an idyllic corner of the world, nestled happily a good distance from the street. Open the windows and listen to the peepers and the owls and let the world melt away, knowing that Worcester is just a few short minutes away. Once a part of the Maple Hill Farm, the original house - which is now the kitchen - was built in 1943 from the wood of the trees knocked down in the 1938 hurricane. The family quickly opened a sawmill and a few years later, the "little house" was built. While cooking your breakfast and sitting at the breakfast bar, enjoy thinking that a family of four used to live here. Years later, when Steve's first child was on the way, they quickly built the "addition", which contains the dining room, great room, another 2 1/2 baths, a couple of sitting rooms, and four more bedrooms. While times have changed, the idyllic country quality has not. All this is within ten minutes of downtown Worcester attractions: theaters, colleges, medical facilities, DCU events, and museums. In addition, Steve's House is ideally situated between the Maple Hill Disc Golf Course and Pyramids. Pyramids (1988) is one of the oldest and most respected disc golf courses in New England. Maple Hill (2003) is home to the Vibram Open, an annual Disc Golf Pro Tour stop, and is rated as a top ten course in the world. The course features four configurations designed for beginners as well as seasoned professionals. Also available at Maple Hill Disc Golf, is a game room which includes many game tables such as Pool, Foosbal, Air Hockey, Shuffleboard, Skeeball, Darts, and Bubble Hockey.
